CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

Umm...this is kinda hard to explain, but one of my close friends that moved away a few years ago might have passed away. I kept in contact with him and we talked often on the phone and stuff, but he hasn't answered his phone or any of my messages since about 2 months ago. I've tried emailing him, texting him, about everything I could think of. The scary thing is, is that when I realized that he wasn't answering me back, my first thought was that he had died. I don't know why, but that is what I thought.

My friend isn't the kind of person to just stop talking to someone anyway. Especially me! There is no reason why he would not want to talk to me. We are very close friends.

I finally remembered today that my friend had a myspace, so I went to go check out his page. When I got on there, it said it was a private profile and I could only see part of his profile. It had a picture of him and then on a bulletin thingy it said "Shane. died." But it said that he had last logged on June 2. So I'm assuming someone or him, was logged on recently. I'm wondering if it is a joke or not on his myspace.

All this information I'm giving you guys probably points toward my friend having passed away, but it really isn't a "for sure" thing. I'm just really confused right now, and probably just in denial about all of this. I'm at the point where I'm sad about it, but I can't grieve about it 'cuse I'm not really sure if he has actually died or not. I've left messages on his phone and email and stuff asking his family or someone to contact me and tell me what has happened, but no one has answered.

So yeah, I'm asking for prayer for comfort and to not worry so much. I just really need prayer right now.

I've realized though that God will use this situation either way it goes. This situation pertains to a character in the story I'm creating and helps me relate to him better. It's nice to see how God can use good and bad situations to further His glory, even though it doesn't make me happy, it makes me joyful though!

This seems real bad. You're certainly in my prayers. I hope whatever turns out to be the case that you'll pull through alright. I certainly don't know what I'd do if I went through something like this with a friend of mine.

Don't give up just yet. Not until you hear from a family member of his. I wouldn't put too much stock into My Space if you ask me o.o Do you or your parents keep in touch with his parents? The best bet would be keep trying to get a hold of them In the meantime, keep praying and I will as well Keep us updated alright I will pray all goes well

I agree with Tsukuyomi. Don't get too concerned just yet. Keep trying to get in touch with his family. Since you two are such close friends, wouldn't they have told you if something happened? I pray you are able to get a hold of them soon so you can put your mind at rest by knowing what's going on.

I hate to say this but it could be some kind of tasteless prank. I've seen people do that stuff before. :\ Try to stay calm until you hear some concrete proof.

Okay...so my friend is not dead. But he is spiritually dead. I finally got a hold of him and he has totally changed. He has many agnostic views on everything and he never used to be like this. Please pray for him and that I might be a good demonstration of Christ's love for him. I know I was put in my friend's life for a reason.

Just keep being a friend to him That's a very good start right there Don't overwhelm him and go all preachy. That seems to push people away >_> Ask him what brought on this change and talk to him about it ^__^ Then go from there

Yes, I have asked him about why his views have changed and I'm praying for God to speak through me when I talk to him. It's the Lord who will change him, so I just have to do what the Lord tells me.

This is what he told me:

"I've just questioned myself a lot, and opened my mind. And when I say "I hate hardcore Christians" I mean that I hate the ones that just spew out information that isnt true about Christianity. There's so much more to the bible than what you read in it, like Jesus' real birthday (if he ever existed), and the fact that things have been taken out of the bible after it was written. Just things that people don't know, so they commit themselves to a blind faith and they don't really understand what the message is. So after I learned the real message and all of the morals of the Bible, some of it didn't agree with my personal morals, so I then became Agnostic."

Oh yes, I believe fully that he can be turned around and head toward Jesus. Nothing is impossible with God.

That's true ^^ That's why you should try to be there for him the best you can Talk to him about the things he doesn't see eye to eye with and help him work it out Maybe he's misunderstood something?

At least he isn't dead physically. There's always hope then. I've got him in my prayers now.

Update:

Okay, so things have been going well with my friend. We aren't fighting or anything. I asked him awhile ago why his views have changed and he replied back saying that most Christians are living a "blind faith." He also said that he doesn't believe that Jesus existed. I gave him a response with some evidence that provided the right answer to that, and he hasn't answered me back since. So I've just been praying fervently since. I don't know exactly what is going through his mind, but please keep praying for him. Thanks guys!
