Attempted suicide... hopefully

Please pray for my friend, her family and her father. Her dad has always struggled with depression, anxiety, paranoia and anger... and lately he has been convinced that he has fibromayalgia, which is basically body pain that cannot be attributed to any apparent medical cause, unless I'm mistaken. Some people don't believe that it exists, and I'm not sure about how real his claims to physical suffering have been... but it's obvious that he's been suffering. He recently tried to apply for social security, but was rejected. Upon this rejection, he tried to kill himself by taking almost a whole bottle of his medication. He's now in the hospital and unconscious, and they're not sure if he will make it. His family is suffering incredibly because of this. Please pray that he will survive somehow, and that he would recover from the spiritual and emotional rut that he has been in. Especially pray for his family. Thank you.

Will pray for him and his family. That's a tough situation. But I know God can do anything, so I will pray.

I'm praying for them - most definitely. May they all be witnesses to the light which shines even in dark times such as these.
"When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
- John 8:12

Thank you all for your prayers--I'm sure they will help. The last news I received was that he is still alive, now conscious and waiting to be transferred to the ICU. Things are still up in the air.

Thanks everyone. Last I heard, he has stabilized and is recovering. The issue that the family is facing now is what to do when he recovers.
