Crying..?

Has anyone ever felt this way: You live a happy life, you have friends in school/work, you know you're going to Heaven, but when you read something about God and you're alone, you start to have tears in your eyes and you have to hide it so your family doesn't start looking at you weird?

Is that really normal? You tell yourself, "Don't cry and don't dwell on sadness, God loves you," but you cry anyway after reading stuff like that? And just making you way more emotional in general, or do I just cry really easy?

Yeah, that's been happening to me lately... I just ask Father God why He is doing that, because I want to be happy and joyful.

Thats good. I'm glad you're seeking to be joyfull in the Lord. But please, don't ever think that God will abandon you. Thats a lie from the enemy, and so He'll try and get you to believe that God has left you. And that's the last thing you want to happen. Resist from the devil, and he will flee from you. Please keep the faith, and stick close to Him. :)

Maybe it's the Holy Spirit moving inside of you. :D

God definitely wants us to be happy, but it's also good to many times cry for the Lord. :D Sometimes when you realize just how amazing he is, you can't help but cry.

I'm one of those people who cries when they are moved by something God has done...crying is not always about sadness or weakness. It can also be about joy, truth, and even healing.

Most definitely quoted for truth...sometimes we're overwhelmed by God's awesomeness and cry with joy and sheer amazement.

There are many great heart-touching passages in bible, especially when you have considered the grim situations they have been in and the faith they have displayed. People hasn't changed much since then, most people can relate to the story in the bible, be it prejudices, social pressures, and conflicts. You can almost say that most people in bible are not "normal"; they didn't follow the social norm, but sought for the truth and the rightful. So don't let social norm clouds your mind, norm is just norm.

Depending on the culture, sometimes crying were treated as weakness, but is it not your strength to be able to express yourself? I can't tell whether you are emotional or not, but be glad that you are gifted with emotions, which make us human.

Some things just move us so much, we cry. Not that the crying is a bad thing. The music in the abandon church in Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core moves me to tears. The violin part is so beautiful.

Well, really, if I'm in the mood, any story can. XD

Someone here posted a story about not commiting suicide because they felt as if God spoken to them, so I had to try not to try.

^_^ Thank you for all the help everybody. I don't like crying in public because I'll feel embarassed, as I prefer showing love by actions and then taking it from there.
