Wrist Trouble

It's a small thing, but I have a ganglion cyst on my right wrist that is a most vexing annoyance. After a month of wearing the splint, it has only become larger and more painful, and most recently the bones in my wrist have been shifting oddly. My follow-up is tomorrow, and I'm hoping that it won't come down to surgery. If it comes to that I'll probably just take my friend up on his offer to smash it for me.

I wouldn't recommend the smashing, but I will pray! I hope it stops being bothersome and everything works out alright.

Alright. So, the cyst has grown to half again its original size despite immobilization. Between that, the pain, difficulties using my grip (I'll try to grab something and miss, dropping it or not closing my fingers at all), and the numbness in one of my fingers, I'm being referred to a hand surgeon to try draining it. My usual doctor didn't want to attempt it herself since the risk of infection in the joint or damage to any tendons it's connected to is somewhat high.

Thank you for your prayers, everyone.
