Pray for Kisumu

Some of you may remember about a year ago I asked for prayer as my dad went to Kisumu in the African country of Kenya to do some worship ministry with his Kisumu native friend, James and his wife Carol. Now, I'm a bit fuzzy on the political details, but it's essentially like this:
Recently in Kisumu there was an election, as a result of which the entire country has been thrown into chaos. I mean it's been going from bad to worse there. Starvation, rape, murder, you name it. James and his family have been surviving for the past few days on unripe mango from their tree and such water as Kenya has to offer. They just ate their son's pet tortoise for lack of any other meat available. It'd be an easy solution to send money, but there's no way for it to get through.
If you'd like to contact my dad you can reach him at his email address,
ken@kenkipp.com
or his MySpace
http://www.myspace.com/kenkipp
He will be glad to hear from you and will pass your prayers and support along to James and his family.

Thank you and God bless.

From the news it definitely sounds like a mess over there. This would be a good time (actually past time) to leave, but I suppose they might have ties there that they want to support.

Praying for their safety and mission.

Dear God,

Please provide & protect James and his family. And whatever else needs to be prayed for for him and his friends and family, we pray for those things too.

In Jesus name we pray,
Amen
