Anyways, I should probably shoot out a prayer request.

I recently was given a new position at work, basically I'm the new Program Director/DJ for a local roller skating rink, I'm only one of two people who know how to do what I do. although i'm still training for the job, i'm working more hours than my aunt does, and i'm still in high school. i generally work over 25 hours a week. mostly nights and weekends.

I just really right now need the prayer that I have the energy to continue doing what i'm doing, i feel like i'm wearing myself out, but it's like i can't stop, because when i'm at work, i'm away from all the drama that thrives around with my friends and even in my house. Work is my escape. although, i'm hoping once i'm officially trained and I can run the show by myself my hours will decrease a little bit.

I also need prayer that i'll find the confidence in myself to do the job right, alot of times what happens is I KNOW i can do the job, i've proven it to myself, but when we get really busy, which happens quite often, I find myself freezing up, and forgetting what I know, and making silly mistakes, so pray that I can find the confidence in myself to say, "wow I know that." and not freeze up.

and I need some prayer for me and my girlfriend, because of my hectic work schedule, i'm like never home and we rarely get to see each other outside of church, and it's really affecting her, and me to some degree, because we both really love each other. and it just sucks not being able to see each other as much ad we'd like to.

so, if any of you could spare some time to pray...i'd greatly appriceate it..(:

I'll pray for all this. It has to be terrible for your home to not be a place of peace, but you shouldn't let seeking a form of sanctuary drive you to exhaustion. Are you so sure that this exact job and exact schedule are what you're supposed to be doing?

Well, This is honestly an amazing deal for me at my age, I love the atmosphere, it's always fast paced, and while I make my mistakes, i really do enjoy that, but no, i'm not sure it's where i'm supposed to be, but at 16, I really can't complain. I love being a DJ. it's fun.

Well, as long as it's something you love to do, I guess wearing yourself out on it isn't THAT bad :D

Still, I'm praying for you.

Part of the exhaustion might be stress. Once you are trained and have confidence in your ability, you will find that somethings will come automatically (you won't have to think about doing them). This reduces the stress a lot and makes work a lot less tiring. In essence, you are not fighting yourself.

That said, 25 hour a week at 16 is a bunch of hours. Of course, if you don't have a lot of other extra-curricular stuff going on, it might be OK, especially if the bulk of the hours is on weekends. Make sure you are getting enough sleep each day, however. Just because it is easy at your age (and desireable) to stay up late at night doesn't mean it's good for you.
