Remember that story about the boy named Alexander?

Well, I've had a taste of one of those no good, horrible, very bad days!

First, I locked myself out of my dorm this morning. Where were my keys? Sitting right next to my computer...Man, I felt stupid. But the RM happened to be walking by when I came back around noon, so she let me in. Didn't even charge the "letting you back in your room" fee. Which was good.

The worst thing though is that I lost my wallet. It fell out of Pebbles' pack sometime this morning. I must not have noticed. I realized later that her pack was open. I had forgotten to zip it (and had forgotten to put my keys in it :P )
Well, couldn't find it. So I canceled my debit card. I'll get a new one in about a week. I'll need to go to the student center around lunch tomorrow to get a new student ID so I can eat. And go to the DPS and get a replacement driver's license. Luckily, though nothing in my wallet had my SS# on it, so I was told by the Bank of America lady not to worry. They put an alert on my account to keep anyone from trying to use it (if they have my DL...).
It just stinks having to replace everything now. Need new Hastings/Movie Gallery cards, Kroger card, etc. Good thing everything is very replaceable.

Moral: Do not ever keep anything with your SS# on it in your wallet/purse. Everything is easy to remedy this time b/c I didn't have that information in there. It would have been a HUGE problem if I did.

Talk about dodging the bullet. Thank God the day didn't end up worse than it already was!

WAH! That title took me by surprise for a moment. XD

Although what does this, or another, Alexander have to do with the story?

Those situations can be scary. The most I've lost was $20, and that still really devastated me. Every since then I've been like a cat over my things.

Hope you recover everything soon.

You know the children's book "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day" ? It was (and still is) one of my favorites. I was just saying that I was feeling a bit like Alexander in the story...like nothing was going right.
Everything should be ok though. (And there's the added blessing that it wasn't a worse situation --and also that the semester will be over in 2 weeks!)

Well, I got a new student ID --so I was able to eat on campus!

I'm glad it all worked out...

Praise God! I'd probably go nuts if something like this happened to me.
