Thread of Thanks!

OK, I've been looking over the various threads on here, and the vast majority of them seem to be asking for help with problems that people are having. Now, there is nothing wrong with this, and people should keep posting them, because Lord knows we all need all the help and support we can get. However, I decided to try and brighten things up a bit! This thread is for you all to post things that you are grateful for and praising the Lord for the blessings He has laid upon you!

I, for one, am thankful for His guiding me to this site, as this group is the most accepting group of Christians that I've found since my home church, which had the motto that it was a church where 'No one stood alone, and no one stayed the same'.

Another praise/thanks thread is always welcome.

I thank God for the beautiful leaves and gray skies of autumn.

I'm thankful for my service dog Pebbles and am super excited that we've been together for a year now! She is such a blessing! (And I need to go take her out --she's boring a hole in my head w/ her staring! )

I'm also thankful for my cool, crazy, weird, and encouraging friends...life would certainly be dull w/o them...

I am also thankful for this site. Lord knows what other section of the internet I'd be cruising if I wasn't here.

I'll add my voice to the chorus of thanks for CAA, especially this particular part. you'll never know how much all the praying has helped me.

Just to be creative, though, I also thank God for my family. Seriously, I couldn't ask for a better group of people to be related to. They rock :D

*launches a billion brownies into the air in thanks for CAA*

Honestly, just the internet itself is something I should be indebted to. I don't know how I could have lived being completely socially isolated.

I've been so dependent on the internet that I treat the online communities I'm with almost like a second family.

And that's my positive word for the day.

P.S. I really love this thread. It could help with a lot of cheering up.

Just want to say thanks to God for giving me something to live for...something for everyone to live for......His Son.......Without him as my center, I cannot imagine how and who I'd be.

Also, thanks that He is not a feeling...that He is with us and there for us no matter how crumby or arogant we feel.....

right now i am thanking God for saving my little albino dwarf hamster for certain death and injury early this morning. His cage is on a shelf about shoulder level to me *so...roughly 4 1/2 feet high* well I woke up to the cat playing in the corner and one of the dogs playing with her. I kicked em out, closed the door and went back to sleep. Later around 8 I was woken to my mother in laws oldest dog pawing at the corner as well. So i got up, shooed her away and looked behind the boxes, there was my hamster. I was so afraid he was hurt (falling from nearly 5 feet...ouch). So I picked him up and put him on my bed, he immediatly ran around as if nothing had happened. I put him back in his cage and he went to his running wheel. I know that an angel must have been looking out for him. He got out because the tubing fell off the cage. So he is now in his bigger, more secure cage. No tubing. ^_^

I must thank God, per usual, for my youth group and accountability at PCC.
I sent up a prayer request today; explaining how things were only getting worse, not looking very bright, how I've been fighting some dark demons, and I'm just so messed up and confused right now (Thanks be to 'Rummler' who prayed for me afterwards!)
After our School time, our leader, Beth came up to me and was like "Hey, could you explain anything any better?" and so, lowering my voice, I explained how I had become a cutter and how I was truly trying to get out.
She looked down at the things in her hands and said "You know, our entire D-Group always prays for you, and we all love you so much." She then noticed an extra copy of "The Power of a Praying Teen" (she had given copies out to the members of her D-Group earlier that morning) and asked if I wanted it. I was like "Uhh...sure, I guess." So she explained that they would be going through a chapter a week, and I could follow along, even though I could not presently be there.
That was pretty cool, reading the back cover, man...I know this book is going to help me through this storm of life.

Also, I am thankful for my friends and family, because I know that without them, I would be lost and alone in this world! Especially my family, because I know that they will accept me, no matter what I may do!

(cliche, I know. But I figured this thread deserved a bump for Thanksgiving :thumb: )

I thank God for always being there for me all my life, and for the grace He continues to show me. I thank Him for placing friends I can trust, who know me and treat me like family. Thank you, God for loving me, and thanks to everybody, including CAA, for showing me love and kindness. I hope I can repay such kindness someday! Thanks to all of you, and Happy Thanksgiving! :thumb:

I am thankful that I am healthy and that everyone I know is well. I am also thankful that my grandfather is in Heaven now because now he doesn't have to suffer anymore.

I'm thankful for my friend's mom who is so gracious in letting me stay with her for Thanksgiving and Christmas --I'm so humbled that she is so excited to have me stay and feel so loved by the way she treats me like one of her daughters.
I'm leaving tonight to go --so I'm super excited! She is such an encouragement to me.
I'm also thankful for my friend Lori. God brought her into my life at just the right time --we are both on our own for the first time and are struggling in many of the same areas --so it is awesome to have this support/accountability system and to have a close friend!
