desperate need of prayer

Postby faithfighter » Fri Aug 03, 2007 9:21 am

dear CAA family
I would like to ask for all your prayers in this matter. My sister-in-law's neice has recently come to live with my brother and his family. she is five years old and has been terribly neglected all these years by her mother. my sister-in-law and brother desperatly want to do the right thing for her, but there is so much damage already done.
also my nephew has been struggling with this greatly, he is a year younger than the girl and has been having issues with the girl living with them.
so my request is prayer for my brother and sister-in-law that God would give them guidence in this matter, and give them the strength and patients needed to deal with it.
prayers for my nephew and neice that they will be able to deal with this new addition and continue beign the amazing kids they are
and expecially for this poor little girl. that she will be reseptive to thier love and care, and that the damage can be undone.. and that in time she will come to know Jesus as her savior.

thank you so much
-Zooky

The effects of neglect are extremely difficult to repair. It will take a lot of prayer and healing. I'll be praying for her.

In my prayers. God has a great way of bringing people together who need each other and healing all strife between them. I pray He does the same for your brother's kids.

I'll be praying for her, neglect will take alot of time and patience to heal, But hopefully we can lift her up to the lord, and he will save her from the damage that has been done.
Footprints in the sand by Carolyn Joyce Carty

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the lord.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of foot prints in the sand: one belonging to him the other to the lord.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the foot prints in the sand.

He noticed that name times along the path of his life there was only one set o footprints.

He also noticed that it was at the lowest and saddest times of his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the lord about it:

"lord, you said once i decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But i have noticed during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of foot prints. I dont understand why when i needed you most you would leave me."

The lord replied:

"My son, my precious child, I love you and would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that i carried you."
