Friend may become sterile.

My friend, Tasha, wants to be a mother... and her boyfriend wants to bare children of his own, NOT adopt.
No one knows what she has, but symptoms are, as she puts them:

"Dizzy, lightheaded, always tired but can never sleep, everytime i eat OR drink something i get sick & lose it.."

The doctors really don't know what it is, but they say that if she doesn't get better, she'll be reproductively sterile within a year.

Any ideas on what it might be are GLADLY welcome, however what we REALLY need here is prayer...

Also she says Nymphomania (addiction to sexuality) runs in her family... so that'd be a nice target for prayer too...

The doctors don't know what her condition is...yet they know that if it continues she'll be sterile within a year.
That sounds odd to me.

Regardless, I'll pray for her.

Erm...does she have PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome)?
Do you know if she has periods or not? Not having them is one of the hallmarks of PCOS.
I don't see why her feeling sick in that way would have anything to do with being infertile. o.O But I'll pray. Hopefully they can find out what's going on.

I see. I will pray for her health, raising children of one's own must be a beautiful experience. But you said boyfriend. Are they trying to have kids when they're not married?

Maybe they're hoping to have kids after getting married. But if they can't, there's always adoption :).

Praying.

I don't understand that either. I also don't really see how Nymphomania can really be genetic or that huge of a problem, either than the fact that it's an addiction, cause I mean, people do have needs. *shrugs* Then again, never actually known anyone with if it's it's that big of an issue :/
Praying for her symptoms...

Now that I think about it, maybe her addiction is a possible cause for her symptoms. I'll be praying.

What my limited medical knowledge tells me here is that it could be a food allergy or lactose intolerance; an old friend of mine had a problem where every time she tried to eat she’d throw up, turns out it was lactose intolerance that the doctors didn’t pick up. They all thought she was trying to be bulimic.
At this point though I’d say baring children should be the least of their concerns. Malnutrition does lead to infertility but it also leads to much more serious problems. What I’m wondering now is if the issue of eating and drinking happened before or after she started feeling light headed and dizzy.
I can see how nymphomania (hyper sexuality) can run in families. Perhaps maybe her hormone levels are a bit high and that’s just a genetic thing? That sounds the most likely to me...
Either way it might be a good idea to run those ideas past the doctor and see what they think, doctors are really well educated but they're still only human and do miss things.
