For me and my friend

My friend recently started spending time on the computer. Now, we both made a commitment to stay single and use that to our advantage. Well, he's been talking to girls. The girls are manipulating him, as in, they're turning him into a pervert. First of all, we made this commitment, and under the Lord, he must follow it. Well, he's easy to manipulate, and is therefore getting involved with girls he meets over the computer. He goes around profiles on sites like Youtube and Netlog to find girls and adds them to his friends list. Then he does the common thing of suddenly 'falling in love' with the coincidentally single girls he's found. Not only is he breaking his promise to the Lord, he's also talking to girls who are very....yeah.... As in, all of their profiles talk about 'love.' As in the term 'making love'..As in, well, as about as illicit as you can get. He needs the prayer for obvious reasons. I need the prayer, because this is really hard to take. My heart (my actual organ) is starting to become weaker... Because of this mess, I feel like I'm on the brink of heart failure. I have no one in real life to talk to about it, and even as I type, I fell like laying down from the pain of my heart...
Pray for me, yus? :<
Pray I can get stronger for the both of us...
*cries*

How old are you, by chance? From the sounds of it, not very. I wouldn't put much stock in this whole thing. You can't control another person, so you shouldn't worry about his actions. And why exactly do you want to stay single? It might sound noble, romantic at a young age, but in reality, its not all its made out to be.

I will be praying for discernment for your friend, and for strength for you.

Isn't falling in love one of the main goals in life portrayed by the media? Finding your Mr./Ms. Right? Well, then, why stay single? Well, let's look at 1 Corinthians 7:32-33.

"But I want you to be without care. He who is unmarried cares for the things of the Lord - how he may please the Lord. But he who is married cares about the things of the world - how he may please his wife."

That's why. Remaining single allows him to serve the Lord without distraction. I'm not saying being married is bad, I'm just saying that it does create distractions. This is why it's better to stay single.

Anywho, I'll be praying, Sc. Praying for you and your friend.

Nope, I will do no such thing! :P
But, I will pray that God will make you stronger.

You can't just change people, seriously, so don't even try it.
However, you can set a good example, and by example, have an effect on those around you.
Including your friend. :)

Please, don't allow something this trivial put strain on your friendship, because if that happens, your relationship might be ruined.
