Nephew had a seizure

Hey guys,

I just found out that my five-year-old nephew just had a seizure. He had several febrile seizures when he was around 1 or 2, but they stopped. The doctors had said that most kids grow out of them and are fine; hence, we figured Ben was okay after a while. Still, any time his temperature goes up, whoever is with him will keep a good eye on him, just in case.

Well, the doctor today said he has strep throat, and his temperature has been up, but he's been taking medicine. However, when he was left alone for just a few short minutes watching TV, he obviously had a seizure, as he was slumped over in his chair with weak eyes and a limp body.

An ambulance came and paramedics stabilized him, so he's out of the seizure, but this is still upsetting to his mom (my sister) and the rest of us, too. We thought he was free of the seizures until now. Please pray for him and his health overall. I certainly don't want anything to happen to the little guy. I'm confident that God will take care of him regardless of what happens.

Thanks, y'all.

You're in my thoughts. I knew some people with epilepsy.

Update: He is doing much better today. I talked to him on the phone just now, and he's acting normally. I didn't try to talk about it much, but he mentioned it and said that he doesn't remember the ambulance coming. He said that he's just got a cough right now. And he's glad that I've been praying for him; he likes to get in on the process, too, so I suggested he pray for our cat whose tail got hurt. He was excited that he could pray about that. He's so cute and already acting like a good little Christian.

Thanks for the prayers. God's taking care of him, and I praise Him for that.

I'll be praying. My litte brother had a few seizures when he was that age; they can be rather frightening.
