Prayer Request for a Close Friend

Heh...it's a been a while since I came here. A close friend of mine has these times when she's feeling inadequate/depressed, and just yesterday she cut herself. She said it started just before middle school, because of some bad experiences with so-called "friends". I'm really worried about her, and I feel useless when I can't do anything by watch from the sidelines. I'm also thinking of bringing her to Christian Fellowship at my school in the New Year, and eventually to my church. Please pray for her well-being and for guidance in leading her to Christ.
P.S. - When I said close friend, I meant girlfriend.

Just an update, but not the happiest one. Right now she's pretty much given up on everything. She doesn't care anymore, or at least doesn't want to. She's shut out everyone, even avoiding me, because she said no one's tried to help her. She feels she can't rely on this world. She can't even do anything she enjoyed before, like drawing. Right now all I can do is let her have her space. She's someone who really needs Christ, but she doesn't believe in God. Please pray for God to open her heart and to touch her spiritually. He's the only one who can reach her now.

Ouch. So sorry to hear that. My advice is yes, give her the space she needs, but also find help for her behind the scenes. Just my opinion here, but if she's at that low of a point right now, she might close up more if you directly tell her to get some help.
I'll be praying.
