Stomach problems

Dear all,

I thank God for giving me good health and well-functioning body for the last 25 years.

For that reason, I find it odd that I'v been experiencing stomach problems for almost a month. I initially thought it was a case of eating something bad, gastric or regular wind. Or simply, a case of my body protesting to me making a major transition of moving to another country and starting a new job. :eh:

However, it's getting quite bad when I suffer ~ 1-2 hours of pain and discomfort after (almost) every meal, constantly belch and occasionally, vomit. Please pray on my behalf as I make a 2nd visit to the doctor tomorrow morning to figure out what the problem is. The first set of medication provided relief temporarily but it isn't taking away the problem. I'm guessing it's heartburn or some gastrointes....something.

But still, I'm quite grieved for two reasons: 1) I love food. Eversince this happened, I've eating less (I'm quite afraid to eat, unfortunately) and almost cry when I see everyone else eating nice stuff.....while I'm stuck eating bland plain food. Wahhhh! 2) the hours spent groaning and sticking my head into the toilet bowl is better worth doing something more productive such as DRAWING! For the last few weeks, many drawing night hours have been completed wasted with me bawling around in pain and discomfort. Believe it or not, it's really hard to draw anything when one is feeling crappy.

Now my friends, don't you think this is something worth praying for? ;) Help Mave start drawing again! Pls pray!

Thanks in advance, I believe in the power of God's healing and hope for His favor in this matter. I will update everyone on my condition.

You know, a friend of mine went through something very very similar to this...it ended up being her gallbladder. I hope the doctor can figure out what your illness is. ._.

What about moving to another country on my own and starting my first full time permanent job? LOL

OK folks, here's the breakdown, if those who are interested. My stomach has decided that it doesn't like my new eating habit for the last 3 weeks eversince I touched down in Singapore. Admittedly, I've been eating out a lot, which may have led to a higher consumption of oily and rich food.

The doctor I met was really good; he was both sympathetic and very good at explaining things to me in details. My first visit to the other doctor only solved one problem, which was the acid levels in my stomach. It however, didn't deal with the weak muscles that separate my stomach and esophagus. The weakened muscle allowed contents from my stomach to spill back into the esophagus, thus causing me great grief. Acid + tender esophagus flesh = PAIN & SUFFERING

I'm currently on medication and it's helping alot. However, I must do my part in cutting out my caffeine and oil intake.

I consider this dietary change a blessing in disguise. I've always had a hard time trying to cut down on my consumption of oily food (it tastes good, yum yum!) but I seriously need to moderate it...but by my own willpower, I couldn't really do it.

Now, I have a huge motivation to cut down on oil. Negative reinforcement works really well with me LOL.

Thank you so much for your prayers: My worries have ceased, questions answered, excellent doctor found and action plan now rolling!

One time a year or two ago, I had stomach problems nearly after every meal or snack I ate. (I believe it was a stomach virus) that lasted a good couple days.

Anyway I'm glad to see your problems are worked out!

Hallelujah!
ouch that sounds painful. O.O;;

well, I was asking the stress quetion because, if one gets under too much stress his or her stomach may turn upside down, due to the fight-or-flight response caused under stress, the blood flowing through the stomach goes into the muscles in the limbs and it so to say "shuts down". And that makes you feel like throwing up. :X

but I guess that wasn't it. ^^
