Needing patience and peace

It's looking like I may end up having to wait to officially apply to the college I'm taking online courses from until next fall and aim to go on-campus starting at the beginning of 2008, rather than applying late this winter and going on campus in the fall of next year like I had planned and wanted to do.

I'm really having trouble dealing with this. If it was just something certain that had been delayed a while, I think I'd have an easier time, but there's still no guarantee I'll get admitted when I do finally apply and the idea of those extra months of uncertainty is really tearing me apart.

On top of everything else, this will probably mean I'll have to rework my plans for online courses and take next summer off, otherwise I'll max out the number of credits you can take before officially enrolling by the end of the summer and have nothing to do next fall. I can't imagine my life without taking online courses now. And this means I'll have to pick up these credits somewhere down the line.

Plus, between having to take the summer off and getting on campus, at best, a semester later than everybody else who's in the online classes with me now, I have this largely irrational fear that all of the friends I've made in classes so far will forget who I am in the meantime.

I wrote a bunch more about this on my blog if anybody's interested. I really need all the prayer I can get.

Can you take classes somewhere else in the meantime that will transfer into this college later? Stuff that you don't need to take there like manadatory requirements...

Praying for your path.

The only bit of advice I have is to try to not worry about no-gurantees and all that. I know it's hard because I've done it myself, but it's sort of what life is like. Even things that are concidered "guranteed" don't always happen. It's all up to God and His will with everything, so just don't ever forget to trust in Him and that He has it all planned out for the best^^ I'll be praying for you.

I'll get credits for all of the online classes I'm taking now, and the ones I'll take next spring and fall, if I'm officially admitted. All of these courses are mandatory core-curriculum ones. I'm not doing any for my major (government, probably) until I go on campus.

I could look for someplace else to take classes next summer and transfer the credits to avoid having to catch up later, but it's probably more trouble than it's worth.

Under my original plan, I would have had 21 credits at the end of next spring and picked up 7 more over the summer for a total of 28 by next fall. Now I'm probably going to have to skip summer and end up with 30 by the beginning of 2008, putting me roughly one semester behind "schedule." It's not insurmountable, only about three classes. That's really the least of my concerns.

Oh I HATE periods of uncertainty ESPECIALLY where school is concerned! I totally feel your pain and am praying.

I fought with one of those questions for months. They are a severe burden, in fact, I still don't know if I've solved mine. Praying for you as someone in the same situation.
