Depresion

Whoa... something I thought I'd never be going through... I'm listening to Superchic[k]'s "Courage" from [u]Beauty from Pain[/i], and the girl is hitting just about everything square on the head for me right now.

Ummm.... yeah.... being depressed is... yeah, not cool. My parents don't seem to notice, and only my boyfriend can really tell. To makes matters worse is I really have no idea what's going on. My bf thinks it has something to do with school or work (which is probably true), but I really have no idea. Today was my first FULL day off (no work AND no school) since the begining of September, and I found out the other day I get work on Thanksgiving and Christmas. -_-*

It's probably work... I'd much rather work than have to go to school though... so.... yeah... If ya'll could just pray that whatever's going on God'll just shove satan outta my way so I can at least try to relax? I'd greatly appreciate it.

Dude...you're 18 and this is your first depression?
WOW! GOD REALLY BLESSED YOU!!! :wow!:
Wow...

And you must have a lovely boyfriend the way you describe him...
once again...YOU'RE BLESSED. :D

OK, but depression isn't a nice thing...it's pretty nasty...I will be praying for you.

Remember that whereever you go, whatever you do, Christ is with you. Sense Him when you are at work in an idle moment. Sense Him at school on a walk between classes. These two activities might not be the most fun, but you can definitely reduce the stress they induce by remembering that you are not alone. You are moving along your path, and, right now, you are where God wants you to be, even if it is hard. In this way, you won't spend so much time "wishing" you were somewhere else, or that the time would go by faster. Less stress. Brings you closer to God, too, so it's a win-win.

Praying for you.

As one who suffers from depression on a near daily basis, I know what you are going through. I have learned that a lot of depression comes from either beating yourself up or not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. It is hard too, because well not many people understand hen your depressed, you just can't be happy even when you want to be. Sis, know this: God will never fail you, nothing can take you from his love and even when everything seems to be shattering to pieces, take heart because he is with you.
