This wounds my spirit deeply:

I have long been an avid follower of Ted Haggards preaching and ministry, and have tried to model my own future ministry upon his ideas and doctrines layed out in his books. It wounds me deeply to see this man in this situation, though sadly, it is not that suprising, though it pains my heart deeply to say so.
Add your prayers here if you desire.
Let us not judge, for that is to God. Let us not Hate, for that is against God. Let us merely pray, and praise God through this horrible time.
In Christs Name,
Amen.

I never really liked Ted Haggard, but nevertheless, I just have a lot of trouble believing this to be true. I tend to more lean towards the idea that it is some conspiracy to discredit someone on the forefront of the evangelical church, before the eyes of the world, so as to end up putting another black mark on the truth of the gospel. To make it look like just another stupid hypocritical religion.
If it IS true, then it is sorry to see how far the pollution of the world has spread. This is one case though, where I firmly feel "innocent until proven guilty". I pray that the outcome, whatever it may be, does not damage further the credibility of the true gospel of Jesus Christ, but opens the doors for many others to come to know Him.

Apparently not; he has admitted to "sexual immorality".
May God grant peace to his soul.

People are people. Only a shame that this will give other preachers a black eye to the world. He should have been honest from the very begining rather then trying to hide things.

I'll pray. It's always sad, to me, to see the amount of furor this type of thing kicks up. I'm not surprised to learn that Christian leaders sin by any means, all of us struggle with sin to one point or another, it's just that we always seem shocked to learn that Christian leaders struggle just like the rest of us. Though I know nothing of him, I will pray for this man and his church (fortunately it seems like they are dealing with this appropriately), and I hope that people are able to see past what he has done to the fact that God uses broken people to preach His word, and because of that, they sadly mess up some times, and unfortunately, the instant they do, the world jumps on it and screams hypocrisy.
