Hi guys, please pray...

so I just got back from visiting this guy:

Previous prayer thread, very old, from last year

Anyways, please, I feel like such a looser at ministering to OTHER Christians ( especially those who backslid or have some stuff they need to get rid of )

I'm usually good at saying things like " yeah, these are some reasons to be Christian...." but HORRIBLE at telling other ( claiming )Christians things the Bible says. Like " Bible says your not supposed to do that. " today, for instance, I tried telling him the thing about "not going out or marrying non-Chrostians" ( since he doesn't obey the "unequally yoked" part I gave him in the Bible ). Because he's still at it! And single! He's prob. thinking I'm hitting on him or something! :shady: :eyeroll:
( This'd be SO much easier if I had another person there, to minister to him....you know, so that we have two witnesses, not just me alone! )
So yeah, and I don't really think he likes it when I visit him.
So please pray that he'll READ THE BIBLE more often, and LISTEN to God.
And perhaps PRAY more, put his life more in Jesus' hands. Pray that God'll somehow give Him the consequences for the going out with hethens part.
He asked me to tell him what the difference is between going out with a Christian or going out with an atheist is. THERE ARE SO MANY DIFFERENCES!
And I couldn't explain them all because of my miserable ability in explaining things....

So, if this request isn't just bothering you, please pray!
And please pray for one of the non-believers I'm talking with as well! Thanks.

May God's blessing be upon you all!
xoxo

I'll be praying... and don't forget, there IS one VERY easy and sumple way of saying how it's bad to be unequally yoaked: the non-Christians can pull ya down. Especially in a situation like marriage and all... and it would be hard enough to truly understand one another...

Lifting you up, my sister, and your friend. I would have to strongly agree with Tenshi no Ai's reason for not dating/marrying a non-Christian.

Also, don't be discouraged if you feel like you're not doing a good job of speaking to people. Many times when we've done a good work for God, Satan will try to come against us in our minds, telling us we suck and that our work was in vain. But our work may have been more effective than we know, even if we don't see the results until the next life. The important thing, on our part, is that we've been obedient to the Spirit's leading and spoken the truth in love. 1 Corinthians 15:58 says, "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord."

Oh wow, thank you so much for that. :wow!:
It really did help. ^^
