Losing Faith

Hey guys, once again I need prayer.
I feel I'm losing my faith in God and the voices in my head are acting up. Each day the voices in my head curse at God and such. Maybe I'm not a Christian anymore. Whenever someone says a swear word or the Lord's name in vein I kinda get this feeling. A good feeling. I don't know why.
I think I don't love God anymore....Help please?

*rumages through the bump thread* I'm putting Nami's quote here too...because it makes more sense that way...
Nami wrote:I see, well, thats the way I felt a while back. You should try to have quiet time with God, such as reading the bible, possibly taking down verses, and praying. Also a devotional book helps XD
QtheQreater wrote:I agree with Nami. It's something you need to do daily. Also, get into a Bible study...for some reason, if I have others around doing the same devotions, I dunno...I know I'm more likely to stick with it...or something...
QtheQreater wrote:Everyone sins. And it's in human nature to enjoy doing it. But...(and I know I'm a bad person to explain this)...we can change. In fact, if we are Christians, we should be changing. Doesn't happen overnight. Takes a long time. But it's something we need to strive for...and the only things that have helped me are the things Nami and I have already mentioned...

Being a Christian is not a feeling or a state of mind. If you have once in your life become a true Christian by realizing your sins, asking God to forgive them, and asking Jesus Christ into your heart as your lord and savior, you are a Christian and nothing and no one can ever make you stop being one.
I will pray for you.

Hello, you'll have my prayers.
Let me ask you something ... even though you have this good feeling whenever someone curses God and start wondering whether you still love God, do you want to love God again? Do you want to live the Christian lifestyle again?
It sounds like to me you do, otherwise you wouldn't have asked us to pray for you.
All is not lost!

Yes if you really wanted not to be a christian you wouldn't bring it up to your fellow CAAers and ask for prayer just know that all of us are behind you 100% and we love and care for you and want what's best for you
if you want to talk or just want to vent please feel free to PM me I have alot of friends who just tell me their problems so I can pray it keeps me close to the Lord and if it will help you too
and honestly i was thinking about it just now and I used to like it to when someone cursed or took the Lord's name in vain and I would do it too but that was before I was really on fire for the Lord and he doesn't Love you any less and He wants to hold you in his arms and comfort you and all this but He also wants you to maybe realize that this should bother you and you shouldn't like it I have had to Ask the Lord to work on my heart in this area cause it was an exceptionally nasty part of my heart when i was first truly saved and it just was really bad I still curse some but I don't take the Lord's name in vain anymore but it is something I had to activelly work at and everything
I hope sharing this helps you Sun.Ice
It is really the best advice I can give is to speak from my own personal experiences
Sincerely Jade

It seems to me if one has voices in their head, whatever their cause, they will tell you the exact opposite of what you want. If you want to live, they tell you to kill yourself, etc. I mean no offense, but if you're having this problem, depending upon its cause, you're going to need to see either a psychologist or an exorcist (

Lifting you up, bro. Like RedMage said, being a Christian is not about how we feel, but about what God's Word says. Our feelings can lie to us, but God's Word is always true.
If you know that you've asked Christ to be your Savior and that you've trusted in Him for forgiveness of your sins, then when you get these feelings, don't dwell on them or believe them. 2 Corinthians 10:5 talks about casting down thoughts and imaginations that would exalt themselves against the knowledge of God. One of the primary ways Satan tries to defeat us is in our minds, so when we're tempted to have doubts, we need to cast down those thoughts. Also, I would encourage you really get into the Bible, especially the parts that talk about who we are in Christ, so that when Satan comes at you with these feelings of doubt, you'll have something to beat him with.
The fact that you're even concerned about this shows me that you haven't lost out with God. I'll be praying for you, bro, and if you need to talk to someone who's dealt with some of this stuff, feel free to PM me.

I feel lost. I have so many questions about God. Like,
Why was God seemed more vengeful in the Old Testment?
And why doesn't God talk to us like back then in BC?

God is just as he was in the OT. In the OT the nations were sinful and God used his Chosen people to pass judgement upon the sinful nations so that other nations would marvel at the strength God gives them.
God states in one of the minor prophets that the miraculous signs and direct communication he did in the OT he will cease because of the sins of the nations. However, this doesn't mean that OTHER signs and OTHER ways of God speaking doesn't exist. There are many accounts of miracles.
I would suggest getting heavily involved in a youth group and heading for a youth retreat somewhere. You need the power of Christians near you to help you through this. I'm always here if you need me!

Once again, thank you Angel37. Still, what verses did you get this information from?

And, all I have to say, is it's not wrong to have questions. If you don't understand something, ask someone about it, talk to someone. And, pray about. Ask God to help it make sense to you.

And many answers too, you should take the time to give a good look through

Why was God seemed more vengeful in the Old Testment?
Simple, if God fails to act, to take vengeance, the state of the world will turn out much worse than if he did not take vengeance. As even Yeshua Christ knew, the time comes when, because sin is such a thing that makes other people suffer as well as the sinner, when God can no longer afford to delay vengeance any more, and when this threshold is crossed, it of necessity means there will be no mercy.
And why doesn't God talk to us like back then in BC?
Quite simply, when God speaks it is an incredibly terrifying experience for those who experience it, and similarly his speaking bodes a premonition to the storm clouds of perilous times. If God speaks again, it probably means that America and the various Globalist superpowers will lie with their skyscrapers desolate somewhere within the next 40 years for exploitatative cultural practices that we would refuse to repent of if confronted with by God. Is that what you really want? Also, for all God's involvement with Israel, she certainly had managed to screw herself up with the arrogance it gave her. Also, some people today say that they have in fact seen God, its just that he hasn't had any kind of message with the widespread implications on the levels of the Old Testament.

Thank you everyone, but also something has been bothering.
What is De Ja Vu? My sister says it might be God playing a practical joke. Then again, my brother believes it could be the gift of prohetzizing; seeing into the future.
I'm so confused, what is it? I've experienced it a lot from some reason.

I think de ja vu is more your BRAIN playing tricks on you^^ It's pretty much being in certain situations or places that feels similar to somewhere else you've been. It is an odd phenomenon, but nothing special. And if it were a prophecy, you would for SURE remember it if it was important. Besides, prophecies are Godly and not just something smal like "I went to this place before" :/

be sure I'm praying for you.
That's just the devil talking to you. Don't listen to him! he's trying to get you down! Remember God, and remember what happens without him, I agree with what others here say...
Read you're Bible more often and take a look at your and other people's lives and remember God. I suggest John 14-15.
