So I knew that my step brother's wife who's been pregnant for... not even sure how long, has been having pregnancy difficulties and I just found out why today when she got into to a specialist: the bowels and some other organ of the baby is growing on the OUTSIDE of the body >_< Also something about the embryotic fluid is off too... so yeah just some prayer for her and the baby which will need surgery, I guess, right when it's born.

I will pray for her. Perhaps there is such a thing as knowing too much. How hard on an expectant mother this must be.

As an update, it doesn't look good... Apparently there's only 3 options:
1) abort
2) let it as it is and have it die
3) inject some stuff into the embryotic fluid... and have it die.
With the third option, I'm guessing that one is moreso a chance at a miracle to try that or else it would seem useless if it has no better effect than option 2. ...yeah it's also a hard case too because she's not a Christian and my step bro used to be but doesn't follow God anymore. So basically the only Christian in the family that's been praying is me and my step dad. So yeah... guess right now it's up to God to do His will... Although I can say this almost calmly now, it's one of those things that I can't comprehend unless I was in that position. Even then, to fully rely on Him would be the best thing to do...

This is a difficult situation for any mother to be in, Christian or otherwise. Even outside the realm of religion, mothers develop an instinctive attachment to developing babies. To have something like this happen during development is often not only fatal for the child, but it's devastating for the mother.
The important thing here is to let the mother know that her doctors are well-trained to understand all the options; if she doesn't fully understand all of the potential effects or risks of any option, she has the right to ask more about it. She probably knows instinctively, but should be informed, that all of them pose risk to her as well.
Sometimes developing babies are meant to die. If they are not meant to, they will live, despite hardships in development. If they are meant to, it's important for the family to understand that we do not always understand why things are a certain way, and in an emotionally-charged situation like this, we may never understand. There is a bigger scheme at work, and each individual is just a small part of it.
My prayers go out to the baby and mother, as well as the family, that everything works out as it should and that all can heal from this pain, regardless of the outcome.

Final update: they did the only thing they could and took it out as as preemy (or however it's spelled). Apparently it was fully functional but the lungs and other organs were still on the outside. I believe it died right away. So yeah... :/ It was all they could do because if it were to continue to form, it would just have ruined thigns further and make her unable to have kids at all :/

Well I will definitely pray for peace and the full covering of the Lord for them during this time.
