heartburn troubles

Postby Slater » Tue Jun 06, 2006 10:01 pm

kewh... who would of known that heartburn could be so mucch of a pest... I got really sick this morning and decided to go see him because I was miserable, and he concluded that my heart-burn was causing more problems in my body than just mild discomfort. Who woulda known that the same nerve responsible for heartburn is the same exact one that triggers asthma attacks?

So, meh... he says I have to change my diet to one that excludes mild-tasting food ingrediants (ie, marinara sause) and be on drugs for 8 weeks to reset my body's acid output, or else this asthma will continue to plague me... and it ain't "normal" asthma... stimulants used to treat asthma don't work on these attacks. Not only that, but my body is acting strangely to albuterol, or at least I think so. Ever since I took some early this morning, my heart has been going 120-150 bps... I never noticed such a thing before.

so yeah... just asking for prayer that I can get through this...

I'll be praying. Keep us posted on your condition.

Also, it may be helpful to try using some Beano on your food when you eat. Yours seems more asthma-related, but putting a few drops of that on your most troublesome food in a meal may help greatly over time. It definitely helped me when I was having heartburn/gastric troubles.

“My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!â€
