I think the first stpe for you is joining some sort of church ^^

By 'church' Mr Smarty Pants means a group of Christian believers to encourage and support you and help you in your Christian walk and that you can worship and praise God with them alongside you.

I'm very glad to read of your decision. As far as words of advice or help, I would say, don't view it as merely a religion, but a relationship. As Christians, we believe in a personal God who loves us and wants us to know Him. He loved us so much that He gave His Son for us.

Get to know Him. Pray and talk to Him. Get into His Word, the Bible. Not just as a form or a ritual, but to find out what He wants to say to you. (When you start reading the Bible, I'd suggest John, then Romans.)

And as MSP and Warrior 4 Jesus have said, get involved in a local church. One way I believe God speaks to us is through relationships with His people. You may have to search a while until you find the right church for you, and don't be discouraged if it doesn't happen right away. I'd suggest talking with a Christian friend that you trust, who can maybe help guide you to a good church.

Hopefully this is of encouragement. And as other posters have said, if you need to talk to someone here, I think most of us would welcome your PMs.

Well, I am going on travel for a couple of weeks, so I am glad I saw this before I left. This is so good to hear. I was actually having a rather lousy day up to now. Even these first steps down the path create blessings for those around you.
