Another divorce

A friend of mine, who is in her thirties, has finally filed for divorce from her husband. I think they were married ten or twelve years, I don't remember exactly. Basically, she said to me with a sigh, "he's married to his job" (which is special effects and rigging for TV movies and such, and has him away from home for days to weeks on end for projects). They made a few attempts to start things over, but apparently that's all done with now.
As in all things, I'm hearing only one side of the story, but this much is true: there are two children under 10 involved, who only sort of understand what's going on of course, and there's no threat of legal ugliness yet but that could always occur.
She is Christian, and would appreciate prayers, I think. He isn't, however, and that may have contributed to some of the problem even though he made an effort and tried to sit through church, despite the fact that to him it was just a box to fill or a family thing that you "do."
Nevertheless, divorce is heartbreaking.
