Struggles and Spiritual Warfare

Postby Mr. Rogers » Sat Apr 01, 2006 9:54 pm

Stuff's been crazy here for a little while now. Lots of things like accusation and just generally feeling pretty bad at times. Prayers for this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Love is that feeling you get when a girl looks at you and it feels like your driving a car at high speeds and experience a sudden drop. You know what i mean? That sudden sinking feeling you get in your stomach? Yeah, that's love. Leave's you speechless everytime.

Hey man,

You can count on me to lift you up. I've talked about it quite a bit here, but I believe one of the biggest ways Satan tries to fight us is in our minds. But the One who is in us is greater than the one who is in the world, and God hasn't given us a spirit of bondage to fear, but a Spirit of adoption by which we can call out to Him as our Father. The Spirit God gives brings us power, love, and a sound mind (Romans 8:15, 2 Timothy 1:7).

Anyway, I'm lifted one for you, bro, and if you need to talk to someone, my PM box is open.
Theme Scripture: Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1)

And a verse for all us single folks: Do we have no right to take along a believing wife, as do also the other apostles, the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas? (1 Corinthians 9:5)

 Looking for a GOOD music mix? Check out these stations:
Grey FM Heartland -- a mix of Country and Contemporary Christian music (Listen Now!)
Grey FM Downtown -- a mix of mainstream and Christian pop and rock music (Listen Now!)

More real stuff...

Boy, doesn't that sound familiar? You're not alone, Jim. Let's keep praying and pushing onwards. :)

Lord, I pray that slldrr4Cchrrist1985 would be strong in You and Your mighty power. I pray that he would be covered with Your full armor so that he can take his stand against the devil's schemes. Help him to remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. So please, cover him with Your full armor, oh God, so that when the day of evil comes, he may be able to stand his ground, and after he have done everything, to stand. Help him to stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around his waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with his feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, give him the shield of faith, with which to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Give him the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, Your Word. Help him to pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. Help him to keep this in mind, be alert, and always keep on praying for all the saints.
Amen.

[i]Two vast and trunk-less legs of stone stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand, half sunk, a shattered visage lies. Round the decay of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare the lone and level sands stretch far away. On the pedestal these words are inscribed:

“My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!â€
