Prayers For My Mother

I would appreciate any prayers you might offer up for my mother. She was hospitalized the day before last but released today. She was short of breath with the doctors saying that her lungs were only operating on 35% of their capacity. She had heart by pass 2 years ago and they also said her heart at this point is very weak. The doctor in all honesty informed the family that she could go at any time. In sending her home they told her to keep her nitro tablets close by and for my sister just to make her as comforable as possible. There was really nothing else they could do for her at the hospital. She is scheduled for further test on Monday to determine exactly what shape her heart is in. It's somewhat difficult for me being on the opposite side of the country. She came here to visit last fall and I felt at that time that possibly it would be the last time I would have to see her. Please pray for my sister as she cares for her as this is very difficult.

I thank you all for your prayers. My mother had her tests done but nothing has come back yet concerning those. The family feels that most likely they will just tell us to make her as comfortable as possible. I really don't think there is much else that they can do for her. She did have to go back in last week with shortness of breath. The doctor at that time decided to place her on oxygen at all times so she now has the machine at home and portable. She still gets out to go to the senior center with her husband and my sister 3 times a week. However, my sister told me the other night that she feels my mother has dementia. She is having problems focusing mentally and I feel there may be evidence of mini-strokes. I appreciate your continued prayers.
