Dad

Dad's been under a lot of stress lately, I'd like to ask a prayer for him.
His mother went Home in December, and now his father is preparing for the surgery that will (we pray) remove the cancer in his pancreas.
He's been doubting his competence as a pastor again.
He's been taking a lot of heat at his other job (ER nurse) after trying to get some code violations fixed (he reported it in writing to the head dudes, he's tried other means before). From what I gather, his job is in peril, but as Mum has a steady job, I think he's going to continue.
He's preparing to begin the pursuit of his Master's degree so he can teach, his body can't take the running much longer.
He's trying hard, but I think he's getting close to burnt.

I'll pray for his strength and I hope that his educational endeavors are successful. BTW, that's awesome that he's pastoring and working, that's really commendable, but from reading your post it must be very very tough. I pray the Lord would send some encouragement his way.

I'll pray for God to strengthen him for the long road ahead and for him to have a passion for what he does.

Dear Lord, help farm girl's dad right now as he's reaching the end of his rope. I know only in part of how bad it feels to be under fire from all sides. Help him now as he's making decisions and pressing on toward the mark. DON'T let his ministry fall, use his family to build him back up, and restore his passion for life and for spreading your word. Help him with his job and restore peace to his life, - in your precious name, amen.

Update of some sort:
I think some of the tension at work is beginning to lessen, I haven't heard anything new of it lately.

My grandfather's surgery went better than expected, but his recovery has been riddled with complications. He was transferred to an ICU this morning, and could really use prayer.
He's one of those people that you can never imagine angry, a real gentleman in every respect. Yesterday he blew up at a nurse, and has been acting strangely for some time.
Dad is working today and looked really bad going out the door.
My aunt is flying down, and will be here tomorrow, and depending on how she's doing, it may help Dad to have another person familiar with the hoops and how to get around them to be there to share the load.

Thank you for your prayers. I ask that you please continue to remember my family, this is taking a lot out of them.
