Thinking of getting involved in other church

Postby Jaltus-bot » Thu Feb 09, 2006 11:00 pm

But I'm not sure about everything, like if and how and how much. I usually go to one church, but I really like this other church (and have since I first visited on Easter).
When I feel blue, I start breathing again.

I know a lot of people who are between churches. It must be pretty hard to discern where you should be. I'll pray that God gets you to the place that He wants you.

I had been in that situation before. It is hard to choose, but I'll be praying.

It's been said that Christianity (and I suppose this can be said of all religions which have multiple sub-demonomiations) is like a great hall in which there are multiple doors branching off into different rooms. In the hall, the common ground, there are the core beliefs of Christianity: salvation through Christ, the moral lessons, the beleif in God; and through each door lies the differences in less important doctrine: emphasis, practice, etc. In the hall lies the great supports, the foundations, but in the rooms are the fires, food, and comfort.

Some people attach vehemently to the denomination, and forget about the core of the religion. Even if you change churches, you will still be a Christian, correct?

Either way, good luck with your decision.

Previously Calvary Chapel verses one that is part of the Christian & Missionary Alliance, so yeah.

Thanks.

So there you go! You won't be changing your beliefs, just your methodology and execution. It might not be so drastic a decision after all ;).

Either way you go, good luck making your decision.

If you've been in that position before, how did you recognize finally where you should be?
