Back from Brazil

Postby Anna Mae » Sat Jan 28, 2006 1:47 pm

As the thread title implies, I am indeed back from my trip to Brazil. I had a great time.

However, I am having trouble making up the massive amounts of school work that I missed. Because of jet lag, several tests have not gone as well as I would have hoped. Homework to make up is raining down on me.

To further complicate things, the tendonitis in my hands and the problems with my feet (which I have had all school year and was hoping would heal on the trip) are not healing like the doctor said they would, and feeling like an invalid is getting pretty annoying. I am used to being very active, and it gets frustrating not to be able to exercise.

Please pray that I will be able to adjust back into my school schedule, discover and retain what I learned in my cross-cultural experience, and not be bitter about my physical limitations.

Thanks.

Thank you for your prayers. For a quick update: My hands and feet aren't really getting better, but I only have two tests to make up in school left.

Sorry to you're still dealing with that. I lifted one for you. Please keep us posted.
Theme Scripture: Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1)

And a verse for all us single folks: Do we have no right to take along a believing wife, as do also the other apostles, the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas? (1 Corinthians 9:5)

I have finally turned in all of my make up work! Hurrah! Now all I have to worry about is making sure that I have all A's by March 10 (the end of the quarter for me). Normally this wouln't be too much of a problem, but because of the time I missed I got some lower scores on some assignments and tests than I would have otherwise. I'm a bit nervous because I have a big test coming up in English on Friday (the only class I'm really worried about) that many people have said is the hardest test they had ever taken in their entire life. No pressure.

My hands and feet continue to pain me.

I'm glad to hear that you are finally caught up; good luck with the English exam. I will, of course, be praying for you.

I'm glad to hear as well about the school work. I will pray that your test goes well and for your healing.

Thank you for your prayers. The test was timed, and I barely finished within the limit, so I was unable to check my work. That makes me a bit nervous...

My hands have been especially painful recently. Now it also hurts my feet to even drive.

Man, I feel like such a whiner.

I got an A on my test!

I just had a doctor's appointment today. They can't figure out what ia wrong with my hands. My doctor was so stumped she went and called in the head doctor, and they still aren't sure. They were so busy puzzling over my hands that they didn't even get to talking about my feet. They want to do some nerve tests.
