Some prayers for my writing

Postby bigsleepj » Mon Jan 23, 2006 11:10 am

Hi, everyone

I have several writing projects busy and I could appreciate prayers - not in order to finish them, but rather that I keep them theologically correct and that I can truly depict the glory of God in them.

Thank you for the prayers.

Sure thing, man.

Same here my friend. You pray for me and I'll pray for you. I know the Lord has plans for us both; he will keep us in line with proper theology. Hey, even C.S. Lewis made some mistakes at first... so there is hope for us.

God Bless

C. S. Lewis is such a great writer. I have read his Screwtape Letters, his Great Divorce, and am no working on his Mere Christianity.

I understand that sentiment; I will pray that you are able to express God's truth in a way that is glorifying to him and that will help others draw closer to Christ by reading it.
Let others believe in the God who brings men to trial and judges them. I shall cling to the God who resurrects the dead.

I think mayhaps we should have a writing prayer thread for all us wannabe Christian writers. We should especially pray for God just to bless our writing, not our prospective paper-back sales, if you know what I mean. :)

Yeah, and maybe even those of us who used to love to write and still have ideas filling up our heads, but no longer have the desire, patience, or time to write. *points at self*

I'll be praying for you, bigsleepj. :thumb:
