I have been struggling recently, expecially today. though I am not totally sure why. I guess its a mix of things. My faith is going through an undelation (sp) like what C.S lewis talks about in Screwtape letters. So I have been struggling to make my faith more then just a chore...but more like a faith. Also I have suddenly been terrible burdened for a once good friend of mine, we stopped talking a while back and our friendship didn't end on good terms, but suddenly I can't help thinking about him. Wondering if he is ok...and really worried about him out of the blue. So I ask prays for him. just in case something really is wrong. other then that I have been weirdly sad...not depressed just sort of out of control today. crying over...everything uncontrollibly...it was weird.

so other then asking for prayers I wanted to share what helped me get through it all.

Romans 8:18
I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

2 Corinthians 4:17
For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

as well as the song shout to the Lord and I belong to you (superchick)
I belong to You:
everybody needs to belong somewhere

life can feel so alone without someone who cares

and when life becomes something just to get through

that's when i'm glad that i belong to you

i belong to you i belong to you

you're the one who will never let me down

won't let me down

i belong to you

sometimes life brings more pain than we can bear alone

when hope is gone and i have no strength to stand on my own

when nothing helps there's nothing that i can do

you surround me and show me i belong to you

when love is gone, there's no arms to run to anymore

i'm all alone there's no one for me to live for

letting go of the things i've always clung to

that's when i need to feel that i belong to you

=D I am praying for ya

That feeling is so hard, not just to you but to everyone. All I can say is continue walking, not blinded or anything of course. And stay on that path.

Glad to see things are better for you. I know from experience that sometimes we can know the Scriptures about how God sees us and who we are in Christ, but when Satan comes around talking trash to us in our minds and making us feel we're insufficient for God's grace, it can be hard to remember and apply it. But when this happens, we need to stand fast in the freedom by which Christ has made us free, and not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage (Galatians 5:1). And it's a learning process; I've battled those kinds of feelings, and still do. But we can know that He who has begun a good work in us is faithful to complete it (Philippians 1:6).

Also, it sounds like you're pretty grounded in Scripture and know that these thoughts are just Satan trying to attack you. And when you can recognize that, I believe you've made a big step toward becoming victorious over it, even if it may not feel like it.

Anyway, I will be lifting you up. Please lift me up as well. :)
