On the whole, I think that it is going down, but I would like to lift up a specific person today. Tatum is a senior in high school and very devout. She sincerely loves God. Her parents are not Christian, and recently things got so bad that Tatum moved out of her home to live with her grandmother. The thing is, Tatum has picked up some incorrect (in the opinion of myself and the majority of Christians out there) theological ideas from her grandmother. For example, she believes that God doesn't want us to celebrate Christmas, or something akin to that.
Furthermore, her church attendance is declining. I want to have a serious conversation with her about it. She seems willing to talk... in places like the middle of band class. I asked her if she would be at church that Wednesday so that I could talk to her then, and she said yes. Wednesday rolled around and she avoided me all night, even leaving early. Many younger girls in our church idolize her, and I fear that the example she is setting right now is not good.
Our youth group really needs a person like the Tatum that we used to know. Your prayers are much appreciated.

[i]Two vast and trunk-less legs of stone stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand, half sunk, a shattered visage lies. Round the decay of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare the lone and level sands stretch far away. On the pedestal these words are inscribed:
“My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!â€
