Pray for CAA Members

Just now, God layed something on my heart. I feel (and regarding some people, I know) That a fair number of people on CAA are at the "low state" of their faith. They are in the "valleys" (the low times of your spirituality) instead of the "mountains"(the high times of your spirituality)

Turning your Valleys into Mountains

There are numerous ways to turn your valleys in to mountains. The key thing is prayer and worship. Such ways can include listening to Christian music and singing along and reflecting on God. Silent meditation is another. Take time out of your busy schedule, don't say you don't have time to do something for the Lord. Because if you do take that time out for him, he will bless you more and more. Never forget who God is! He said "I am who am". he tells us: "I am your providor! I am the great orchestrator! I am your daddy! I am your helper! I am your shining light! I am your knight in shining armor! I am your savior!. He is our providor! How can we say "We don't have time for you God" When God was the one who gave US time in the first place?

Reading the Bible is another good way to do this, maybe set goals for yourself. Memorize certain scripture verses. Etc etc.

The reason we don't feel like getting up our seats and worshipping God is because Satan tempts us to keep stationary. This must not be the case! We must go against that temptation, and just pray and worship. You know those "spiritual high" feelings you get in church and retreats and youth services and stuff? Did you know you can have those same experiences right at home by yourself or with a few other close people around you? Many people assume "the spiritual high times are for church only. That is NOT TRUE! Worship whenever you have the chance. Because worship does many many things. Such as:

-Opening up your perspective. You see new things in a different light.
-Problems begin to seem easier. The issue you were dealing with a few minutes ago... now seem like a peice of pie!
-Ultimately, Gets you closer to God.

I ENCOURAGE all of you, ever single one of you. Don't be content with your apathy of your faith! You gotta CRAVE and be DESPERATE for more and more of God! Because we can NEVER have enough of Jesus.

Thanks for posting this. I must totally agree. There is no real point where you have arrived, until you reach heaven that is. In our earthly lives, we are either growing closer to God or backsliding, there is no middle ground. Also, when we approach God's word, we need to forsake our biases and sinful perspectives, and ask God to show us exactly what His word is speaking of, and to help us interpret and apply it correctly to our lives. I will be in prayer tonight for our CAA members and leaders.

I don't know about you all, but if you feel that many of the CAA members are falling down in their spiritual walk, then consider fasting with me tomorrow. It will be a fast to pray for CAA and it's members. (you don't have to if you don't feel led in that way)

Prayer Guardians will be fasting on the 15th, so maybe people should join in on that since some people (like me) are already planning to be fasting. And I posted a link to this thread in the PG thread so people know to pray about this during the fast.

Yay awsome Ryan! I was actually just talking to Nathan about my wanting to be closer and closer to God.

God is Real.
God is amazing.

Why don't we give him more of our time?

When people don't want to "waste" their time.. many times they don't realize that Worshipping God and being in his will... IS THE TRUE USE of time that we should all be doing.. and the things we think to be more important, that we do MOST of the time IS THE WASTE of time.

Nice! Keep our desire for God burning. For God is great, and our words are not enough to praise Him, thanks for sharing that dude.
