CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

I've had a persistent throat clearing problem for quite some time that drives everyone, especially me, crazy. To see what might be causing it, I've been going to doctor(s) one at home and one at college, and yesterday I had a procedure done to see/confirm what the problem was... a fiberoptic laryngoscopy. For those of you who are as medical language challenged as I am, that means that the doctor gave me a hardcore decongestant and then an anesthetic, both up my nose, and then proceded to stick a fiberoptic camera a good 3/16" up my nose and down the back of my throat.

They found that my throat, and voice box and vocal chords and various other things down there are swollen. Apparently, coupled with other symptoms I've been having, this means that I have Acid Reflux. And all the throat clearing might calloused my vocal chords.

Not too serious, but I have to change a lot of things I do. I can't eat much food that is: salty, spicy, carbonated, caffinated, acidic, or chocolate or mint. T_T This is a serious issue since my favorite foods/drinks include Mexican, Italian, chocolate, grapefruit juice, orange soda, among other things. Plus to get the problem under control I have to take medication for a while that could cost anywhere from $75 to $250 a month, and my insurance covers squat and I don't have a regular paying job.

Prayers would be very appreciated.

Lord for Soul ALive I pray that she would have all the knowledge and finance that she needs to be able to work through this situation. I pray that she is able to be whole again and that there be no ill effects from this problem. That this child of yours would be fit and well and be not hindered in any way in doing your work. Lord that she would be encouraged in how you care for her and that she have a deeper revelation of your compassion, care and power.
