Earthquake in South Asia

The death toll has risen to over 18000 now. And we here in the US were complaining about a hurricane that killed around 1000 people... this is 18 times the death toll, and... South East Asia has a much lower % of saved people than the USA has, so...
This is a real tragedy. Needs much prayer.

I will be praying. Kashmir has gone through a lot...the last thing it needs is this.

The children were the real victims in that disaster, along with their parents...geez...my heart and prayer go out to them.

My apologies for interrupting this prayer thread, but I hadn't even heard anything about the earthquake until this thread was started -- and I've heard next to nothing about it in the news. If someone wouldn't mind filling me in, where and when did it happen?
[Edit: I'll still try to remember to pray about it when I can.]
