Gas explosion kills 6 children

Postby Rogie » Fri Sep 09, 2005 6:16 pm

Hey, everyone, a friend of mine e-mailed me a prayer request for a local family and a terrible tragedy. A woman and 8 of her 9 children went to Michigan to visit family, and a gas explosion in the house where they were staying killed 6 of the children and destroyed the house. The mother was not there at the time, as she was helping with her invalid sister elsewhere. The oldest child was a high school graduate and was obviously sitting the rest of the children. She and 5 others were killed. The two children who survived are in the hospital with burns, and one of these two has a collapsed lung.

According to the e-mail, this is a family of Christians. Please pray for the mother, the children who survived, and for the loved ones of this family, including their home church (which I believe is in Virginia).

When I found out about this, it brought me to tears. This is so terrible. May God bless this family during this difficult time.

That's sad to hear indeed. I'll definitely be praying for everyone how may have been involved and whom may been effected by this incident. Sorry to hear of the tragedy.

My friend is appreciative of the prayers and she says that she is sure that the family appreciates the prayers, as well.

I'll keep you updated when and if I find out more. Please keep praying.
