As some of you know...(only a small few) I have some news. It seems I am going to be an uncle. My brothers girlfriend is 3 months pregnant. I would like prayer that the baby is healthy...that my brother would get his head on right and marry this girl, and that my parents would be at peace over things. They really don't like the girl he has been seeing....to be honost, I never did either. But whats done is done, and I will support my brother in what he wants for his life.

While it is always sad to see such things happen (ie sex outside of wedlock), life is an incredibly beautiful gift! I'll be praying for the girl and your brother, as well the baby.

Dear Jesus,
Thankyou that although some bad choices were made, that You are always in control and that You have a plan for this new life! Thankyou that this baby will be born with Christian influences within her/his family.

Lord, we lift up this life as well as that of the parents. You, Lord God, can make any situation turn out for good, and we proclaim that over this couple's life and situation! Help the new child to grow in Your ways, to become a mighty, Spirit-filled warrior who will not follow the World, but will devote her entire life to You and tear down principalities and powers through Your precious name and blood, Lord Jesus! Help the couple, also, to grow in You. Help them start anew, cleanse them by Your blood and from this point on may they put You first in everything they do.

Thankyou, also, for Shatterheart. Thankyou for giving him this opportunity to be an awesome witness for you. Help him to be a great uncle, and help him to be a strong Christian influence in the lives on his brother, his girlfriend and also the child. Fill him with Your Spirit, Lord Jesus, so that he will be able to help these three and any others that come along, that he will be able to give wise, Godly answers to those seeking.

In Your precious and Holy name
Amen

There are no illegitamate children in the world. There are only illegit parents.

I pray that God uses this for the best... Life is so precious, regardless of how it starts.

Gotchya! In that case, I shall change the prayer a bit:

Dear Jesus,
Thankyou that although some bad choices were made, that You are always in control and that You have a plan for this new life! Thankyou that this baby will be born with Christian influences (like her uncle) within her/his family.

Help the couple, also, to turn to You. Help them to start afresh, cleanse them by Your blood and from this point on may they put You first in everything they do.

Amen

Just a quickie... is the rest of your family Christians? Anyone else that we need to pray for to come to the Lord?

Btw: I just noticed that I kept on refering to the baby as 'her'... If it turns out to be a boy... well.. <.< oops ;)

I will keep the family and the baby in my prayers. I've noticed that often, in these cases, the parents realize how far they are from where they should be in their lives and that God can use this situation to bring them closer to Him. Take heart :)

You know, Shatter, when we were talking about this the other night, the point Talame made never entered my head. She's right, you know, about the fact that this kid is going to have close relatives that are Christians. I know the situations aren't perfect, but God isn't limited to working through storybook plot lines. Actually, imperfect scenerios are where His light and power shine brightest. I'm glad that you're supporting your brother, and I'll pray that you'll be an influence on the rest of your family in this matter.

I don't like it when things like this happen between young couples either, Shatterheart, but I shall be praying. And for the baby. I pray he/she is a blessing to the parents, and to the whole family. I don't think there's anything more effective that shows someone just how powerful and how real God is than looking at a newborn baby.

*laughs* There not really young either... >.< There both nearing there 30s. But I do really appreciate everyones prayers. This is just one of those things in life. You really can't do anything but put it in the Lords hands. As far as Christian influence...my brothers girlfriends parents are very controling. Mom and I were talking about that the other day...how they will try to stonewall us from having much contact. So I suppose that should be prayed about as well. Some hearts need to be softened.

Well last Tuesday I became an uncle. Little Isabell came into the world around 6pm. Healthy 9lb baby. No serious issues thank the Lord. If I can get some pics on my computer I will upload one for everyone to see.

Congrats, Ark! :thumb: Glad to hear things turned out okay for the baby, and I hope the family is doing well, too. And yeah, get us some pics if you can.
