Deceased Classmate

Three days ago two of my classmates were speeding on a road, lost control and crashed. One of them died while being taken to the hospital and the other was in critical condition. But the other guy is in stable condition now so that's good. There was a memorial service at a church for him two days ago but I didn't find out till after the fact. I can't say I was a particularly good friend of his, but I can remember having some nice conversations with him. But I feel he is in a better place now. Please pray for him and his family that they can get through this.

I'll pray for his family and that they just be reminded that he is in a better place. For as much as it is a time of mourning for the one who lost his life, it is also a time of rejoicing in knowing that he is in the Kingdom of God. I shall pray for those who knew him.

I just pray that the friends and family of the person who died are comforted and that they would look to God for their strength. It's devastating when stuff like this happens to people! But God has a way of being glorified by showing His goodness to us even in the tough times. Yeah... stuff like this gives us perspective too. Life is short.

15 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, 20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, 21 submitting to one another in the fear of God.

Ephesians 5:15-21

I'll pray for the family, but as you said your friend is in a better place now, no more suffering, no more tears, so for now (And forever for that matter) he's in the best of company and care. In a way, the devil is the one defeated here, but I'll also pray for your other firend, that he pulls through and is completely healed.

God Bless
Archan

I can totally relate to this situation since I've just lost a friend to an accident not too long ago. I'll pray for comfort and peace for his family and friends (including you and anyone who knew him as well).
