Losing Everything...

Postby SorasOathkeeper » Wed Feb 09, 2005 10:22 pm

Hay guys it’s me again, ok, some of you know a while ago I asked for prayer for my Aunt, well she needs even more prayer, I’ll fill you guys in some. One or two years ago my Aunt and her husband filed for divorce, back then I didn’t know much of what was going on, but Bob, her X-husband was horrible to her, he didn’t abuse her physically, but emotionally, he would go out and buy a motorcycle, but them yell at her because she didn’t use coupons when she went shopping, and junk like that for years. But what really pushed her over the edge was when a relative of his came over and did something with my cousin Rebecca, and then Bob blamed it all on Rebecca, that’s when she wanted a divorce. When they were going though the divorce they were all on Bob’s side, He has a way to manipulate people, and he got the house, the kids *3 of them* and everything else. My Aunt had to get a job, get an apartment, and had to deal with court. Well things were going some what well, when her boss at her work started to treat her like dirt, she was a car salesmen, and just because she was a woman she didn’t get the same stuff that the men did even though she was just about better than all of them, she finally quit that job and found another one, when Bob has his girl friend come and live with his kids and him. He drinks, smocks, and everything else everyday, then goes and plays holy at church. He treats my cousin Peter horrible, he won’t support him with anything he does, he wouldn’t buy women stuff for my two cousins, not even give them money to get clothes. Then he kicks Rebecca out of the house, changes all the locks on the doors so she can’t get in, so she has to live with my Aunt in her 2 bedroom apartment, and every weekend Peter comes over to stay with her. Then at the middle of the night on Halloween night he kicked out my other Cousin Jessica, in the middle of the night!! He is now married to his girlfriend and is still doing this stuff, he torments the kids just to see my Aunt hurt, he does not abuse them physically, but still. And my cousins have tried to talk to the judge, but he wont listen because there “Under Age.â€

Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.

I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

I'll definately pray.
Absence is to love as wind is to a flame. It extinguishes the little, it ignites the great.

Life is a test. It is only a test. Had this been real life you would have have been instructed where to go and what to do.

When i argue with reality I lose.....But only 100% of the time.

Once you've decided on a course of action, only you can finish it. As long as you remember that, there's nothing you can't accomplish.

Oh course I will! Oh, I'm so sorry for everything that's going on. I know how apinful it is to see parts of your family suffering so brutally.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.
