Pray for future generations

I just read a news article that has increased my concern over the future of America's children. The article is about the new education secretary's stop to the airing of an episode of an educational PBS show that features a lesbian couple. Thank God the episode won't air on PBS now (but it will air on a separate station in Boston, I believe), but this is an indication of what future children may be exposed to in the coming years. It's only a matter of time before it will become okay to support homosexuality in even children's education. I dread when a "Gay Appreciation Month" or something appears in schools someday.

Here's the link: Click here.

Let us pray for the children of America (and the world), and for the sad state that our country is coming to.

I will pray. The media's choices as of late has been bothering me as well. Thanks for calling this to attention again.

Who cares about some PBS show?

two things:

1.) Who watches PBS?

2.) there's been openly gay characters on mainstream TV for awhile. You can't really help it. You got characters from Dawson Creek, Ellen, Dharma and Greg, etc.

Also, i have no problem with gay people. It's their option.

Being anti-gay is not being racist at all. Being a true Christian you can't help offending people, because being a Christian is following the Truth of Jesus and not everyone believes the Truth.

1. I don't
2. Doesn't mean its right. Anyway this show seems to be aimed at kids not teens and adults as the above ones you've mentioned are.

Racist maybe not, but Bigoted, yeah. You're hating someone for their beliefs.

Things like this just spawn more hate. Which I'm against.

And you realize that beliefs like this will just turn away non-christians from ever wanting to be close to god. "Well, if they are THAT intolerant, then.... ".

love the sinner, hate the sin chichiri. A Christian should not hate anyone who is homosexual.

And yes I shall pray

EDIT: My original post right here was submitted in anger to certain comments made within this thread (I think we know what I'm talking about), but I have removed my own angry comments after thinking about it. Returning negativity will only worsen things.

Please, no debating in this thread. I only posted it for prayer, not for a debate. If need be, I certainly encourage a mod to lock this thread if any debating continues.

This is some things to remember, Chichiri.

Sin, by itself is an option. We chose to do some of the stupid things we do. Its in our nature. The thing is, that God gave up his life to 1) Save us from ourselves and our own perversion and 2) Allow our minds to heal by His love and understanding. We, as christians, should help non-christians in any way we can. It may seem as though we are bigots, but it seems more like, and this is my personal opinion, that the people who are aginst the christians (true christians, mind you) are the ones who are the true bigots, forceing us to change the word to suit them and there lusts.
