I'm sorry to hear that you're having some problems with your roommate. I don't know what it is, but it seems like it must be really frustrating. I'll pray that this gets sorted out quickly.

He's become incapeable of knowing what a volume control is on his sterio, and has not figured out that there's music aside from the single playlist that he listens to. For some people that may not be a problem, but theres a reason I have more than 3500 songs on my computer....I HATE HEARING SONGS OVER AND OVER AND OVER, especially if its the pop emo or rap ...stuff ...that he listens to. He plays it so loud that I can't drown it out using headphones, so dont suggest that.
Also he plays music WHILE HE"S ON THE PHONE so he has to yell over the %$#@ music to talk...
Part 2 of this is what really set me off... his girlfriend(?) showed up at about 9:30 last night, and stayed for 3 hours... it put me in an awkward situation and I was not planning on leaving my room that late at night and hanging out in the study room. Got class finish later.

Actually, I have a lab mate who did the same thing. While he doesn't blast the music, he plays it over and over and over again and it drove everyone else in the lab nuts. So we persuded him to get a headphone. Can't you just be frank and tell him nicely about this coz that's what we did and peace resumed in our lab.
I'll pray for you to keep your cool about it and that your roommate would be more considerate of your feelings.

Eh...I am quite familiar with roommate drama. I know that it is a really hard, frustrating situation. There were times when I would be so reluctant to go home that it would make me sick to my stomach.
I will pray for you. You won't live with him forever, keep that in mind ^_^

I really HATE it when stuff like that happens. Although I've never had a roommate, I have had similar experiences in my newspaper office, which is right next to the Student Government office, where a bunch of party kids tend to hang out, play loud music, cuss a mile a minute, and talk about which one will be the first to do the "uh-huh" in the new Student Center.
Sorry, this is the Prayer Room, isn't it? As for advice, I would try and settle it peacefully by discussing it with him. Otherwise, try taking it discreetly to the RA (if you're living in a dorm or something like that). In my office situation, I have told them to their faces to quit, and I have also taken it to the president (who isn't a party girl). It has worked well for the most part. Diplomacy is a good policy.
I hope my connection isn't too far off in left field, though.
I'll pray!

He apparently just got headphones today... if he keeps using them I'll be a lot happier.
The other problem was that he had his girlfriend(?) over and it was very awkward...and late at night. I have 8 AM classes all week so he was kinda keeping me up and woke me up when they left and he came back....
that was the other half.

Things like this make me glad I spend the cash to have an apartment to myself ... regardless, I will keep you in prayer (and him). At least it sounds like it's improving a little?
