i'm going on a mission trip to nicuragua, south america. i'll be leaving in august and i need to start trying to get the ammount of money i need to go. i think its just over one thousand. i'm feeling a little over whelmed but i know that if i'm meant to go, God will give me the propper funding and bless me. if you have a spair minute some time during your day could you just pray for me, that i get what i need to go. and from any one who has gone on missions before, do you have any advice?

I wil pray too. I have only done fund raisers for in-country and on the border missions. But, be encouraged: I was scared even on those but when I got there the Holy Spirit gave me a sense of peace. If this is what you're s'pposed to do, God will provide. What I did was a whole lot of yard work, flyers carrying, cooking, and auctions at my church. It was slightly less, but same principle.

What are you going to be doing in Nicarauga, if you don't mind? Whatever it is I think you chould also get basic Spanish down and use your God-given gifts! If you're a good leader, maybe you should lead, etc.

no, i don't mind you asking! ^__^ we will be going down to some very poor areas where there are allot of orphans etc. last year an older youth was talking to the church about when he went down, he talked about how he had a large bucket filled with water and a cloth. children would come to him and he would wash there feet and give them shoes. eventually there had been so many children that the water was completely black but he still sat there and washed these childrens feet with this filthy water. as he was telling us this he had a look in his eyes i can't describe, and right away i knew i wanted to go this summer. we will also be helping build shelters and will be doing worship/skits with a small church operating in the village. my friend, abbey, has already gone once and will be going again this year so she has been trying to teach me some spanish when she has time. she is fluent in spanish. i know were doing tons more but i can't think of anything at the moment, i need to talk with my youth leader.
