Plight of mold and other things

Ok, so my mom reacts to our family room as soon as she sets foot in there now. It’s the same kind of reaction as with bread. Part of our family room carpet was soaked this morning after the rain. It has been moldy before as we once had this lovely mold flower blossoming on the carpet next to the door. My mom is wondering if the dark spots that appear on the carpet aren’t oil sots but black mold (you, that really unhealthy mold with all of the expensive cleanup work) which has actually been found in our city before. If it is black mold, then I would expect that it would probably wipe out most of the rest of their retirement to clean it up.

It’s already been one medical thing after another at least since we moved into our home and I actually half measure my life by bad things that happen which affect our life, usually most my parents and my mom’s the one who most deals with them. (The little over a year era of the (mom’s) shoulder injury (starting with ER trip, physical therapy, electro-muscle thingy, etc.) should be tapering off soon.) So it’s really been one thing after another. For my mom, this is her life. There are also a lot of repair things to be done around the home and our family is having trouble effectively working together to get them done. We are probably going to be the ones to pay for and take care of the labor for repairing the fence between us and our neighbors.

Do you have insurance? We recently had a bit of a flood and the insurance fixed everything up. There was a deductable of two hundred dollars, but that's nothing compared to what it would have costed to fix it ourselves.

I'll be praying God will work it out for you as well as he did for us!

We probably do, but I am not sure that this would technically qualify as a flood.

I'll be praying for your family, and that the black stuff isn't black mold! That would not be good at all!

Well, our toilette overflowed because of a faulty trigger, so I don't know if ours would have either.
