Please pray for my friend!

Postby Anna Mae » Fri Oct 22, 2004 5:18 am

I have a friend who has been Christian for... I think a little over a year now. He is trying his best, but is in a very bad home situation. Recently, things apparently exploded and he is now at a juvenile prison. The only contact he is allowed to have is to write letters. He's taking this really hard. I wish I knew more about the situation, but this is all my youth pastor would tell me. Please, please, please pray for him!

Will do. My mother always says that if we truly knew the power of prayer, we would be on our knees all the time.

Quite so, Hope. I'll pray that he'll have some means of still remaining close and connected to God while in juvenile hall. I know God will draw near if he only asks Him to.

Oh, that is so sad. T_T I will definitely pray for your friend, Anna Mae.

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

Well, apparently the lawyers involved have some issues, so his trial has now been moved to December 21! Until then he will most likely be staying at some sort of home for "bad boys." But, I found out that he is in real spiritual need right now. The pastor still wouldn't tell me much, but apparently my friend has recently made some statements like: "I know what's best for me, and no one else does." So please continue to pray!

I know that this is a kind of old thread, but my friend's big event is coming up. There is more confusion about the date though, so it might be changed again. He's still not doing so well.

The trial went OK. He can return to school now, but he is on probation. He says he's not looking forward to having to explain to everyone at school where he has been all this time. Thank you for praying, everyone!

kind of caught this thread late, but none the less I will be praying. I dont know what he did, though having to goto trial tells us he may have done something really bad. Though, probation is better then a worse sentence like juvie or jail. Hopefully God will use this to help make him stronger in this faith. I'll continue to pray for you friend.

Thank you for your prayers, everyone. His attitude about the whole thing still needs some adjustment. He is a bit acidic, and he needs to adjust his viewpoint a bit. I think he is doing better, though. Thanks again.

My friend came to church again yeaterday. I didn't get a chance to talk to him for very long, but he still needs lots of prayer.

My friend isn't doing that great. His mom and her boyfriend(?) are going to kick him out of the house as soon as he is 18, so he is trying to plan what he will do. His faith walk is also suffering. Please pray.

Now my friend got a job that he will be working on Wednesday nights. The fact that he has a job is good, but the fact that we have church on Wednesdays isn't. However, his walk with God seems to be improving greatly. Thank you for praying, everyone!
