Pray that i can find the truth during my search.

I've got a few wiccan friends and they've encouraged me to take a look at wicca. I am just searching for the truth where ever that may be found. If it can be found in wicca then so be it. I am aware that everyone here believes that Christ is the only way and that He is the truth, but im asking you all to pray that i can find my own truth not to pray that i remain a christian if that will not lead me to the truth.
I'm thinking that perhaps wicca could be the religion that will lead me to the truth. From what ive seen wicca seems like a very good religion to be part of and that's why im going to give it a try. Hopefully i can find the truth during my search. I've searched out other religions and still havent found the truth within them and ive always come back to christianity. This is merely the latest religion i have chosen to look into. Why do i choose now to look into it? I think it's just time i did. I probably know more wiccans than christians, personally anyway, so i knew i would look into wicca one day.
I just hope i can find what im searching for.

Look at these verses...the second is the first part of John 1 and is somewhat long, but please read it!
John 14:6
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
John 1: The Word Became Flesh
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.
There came a man who was sent from God; his name was John. He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe. 8He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.
He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God-- children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
John testifies concerning him. He cries out, saying, "This was he of whom I said, 'He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.' " From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father's side, has made him known.
Christ is the ONLY WAY to God. There is a lot of historical proof that He did exist, that He was crucified, and that He was resurrected.
Please, do not dabble in witchcraft. My mother was attacked once by a demon/ghost (it sucked the blankets of her bed tightly around her so that she couldn't even move; she started praying and the demon/ghost left immediately). Another time, she and her friends were playing on the second story of a house with an ouija board; all of a sudden the digital clock started switching times and acting very odd. She looked out the window and there was a shadow of a long-haired person pressed against the window. There was a face-print on the window, and there was no way that anybody could have gotten up there: there was no balcony, the window was shut, and it was on the second story of a house.
There was another story...my mother was working at a nursing home once, there was a nonchristian woman there who was dying. She started screaming about "the flames coming closer" and the burning. She died soon after.
Witchcraft is extremely dangerous, and those who practice it will not see the kingdom of God, as the Bible says. Those who practice witchcraft and sorcery are enemies of God, and enemies of God are doomed. It is harsh, but it is the truth.
I will be praying for you. Christianity is the truth; my father's testimony alone proves that. He hated God, hated church, hated Christians. He walked into a church and came face-to-face with God and was instantly transformed. If you want, I can give you his entire testimony (he wrote it down himself). I hope that the same will happen to you...my mother researched every religion out there and none filled the "empty void" in her heart until she became a Christian. Then that void was filled. The same happened to me, as it happened with every true Christian I know.
Please, whatever happens, stay on this board. We will continue to pray for you, Ookami.

I will pray for you!
Do me a favor and don't believe everything you hear, okay? Make sure it lines up with Scripture!
The Bible is the only Book without fault. If something goes against the Bible in any way, then you better back track and see where the problem really lies.
God bless you!

Not to continue harping on you, but wiccans practice magic and witchcraft:
Now for some time a man named Simon had practiced sorcery in the city and amazed all the people of Samaria. He boasted that he was someone great, and all the people, both high and low, gave him their attention and exclaimed, "This man is the divine power known as the Great Power." They followed him because he had amazed them for a long time with his magic. But when they believed Philip as he preached the good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. Simon himself believed and was baptized. And he followed Philip everywhere, astonished by the great signs and miracles he saw. - Acts 8:9-13
But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars--their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death. - Revelations 21:8
Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. - Deuteronomy 18:10-11
On another note, why do you feel the need to "try" being wiccan simply because so many of your friends are? I have many atheist friends, but I have never had any desire to be an atheist.
Anyway, your request contradicts itself. You said,
Kura Ookami wrote:im asking you all to pray that i can find my own truth not to pray that i remain a christian if that will not lead me to the truth.
But Christianity IS the truth. It will ALWAYS be the truth. So how then can you request to find the truth without being Christian?
So I will pray for you to find the truth, i.e. that you will remain faithful to the Lord.

There's only really one rule for wicca and that is "Do what ye will, as long it harms none." Wiccans believe that there is a God and a Godess and both are worshipped. They do not believe in Satan as how can there be any absolute evil? Wiccans believe that everything you do to others is brought back to you threefold so if you do something bad to someone you will be punished for it and if you do something good you will be blessed. Is that not a good way to live?
The fact is ive seen that magic does really work. My friends have shown me that and really there is no way you can deny something that you've seen with your own eyes. I'm wondering if that verse means evil magic used to harm others or does it simply mean all kinds of magic even good magic used to aid others? I mean if you use magic to help people which any true wiccan would do anyway that's a good thing right?

I can not pray that you find truth outside of Christianity, that is not where truth lies. The religion itself and its practitioners are known to dabble outside of the truth, though. I will pray that you find truth and see through the errors Christians make and good intentions of other religions.
Father, Kura Ookami searches for the truth. I know You have a plan for him, please reveal a small part of it to him now. Show him Your truth and not the half truths of the others who try to imitate You. Words alone will not convince him. Show him Your deeds and let him know their source.
Amen.

At first glance, Wicca seems to be a really cool religion. "Do what ye will, and it harm none" ... except it DOES harm YOU, whether or not you realize it. Wicca may seem benign and even good to you, but Satan loves to masquerade as a being of light -- anything to get people away from the true God. Satan will even appear to do "good" things sometimes, through Wiccan practices or whatever, to lure you away from the true path.
Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?"
The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.' "
"You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman. "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."
Sounds pretty good, doesn't it? Sounds like God is just a jealous killjoy who doesn't want you to have anything good. But we know what happened after they listened to the serpent -- sin was introduced into the world. God forbade them to eat the fruit because He knew what it would do to them. He wants only good things for you.
You say, "How can there be any absolute evil?" I say, look at the terrorist attacks on 9/11, and the attack on the school in Russia, for 2 very clear examples. There is obviously a force of evil at work in the world. Usually it is not so blatant and obvious as that... usually it is more subtle and insidious. Now, I'm sure your Wiccan friends probably have good intentions, and they are not trying to "lead you astray" -- they are deceived.
Wicca may seem "a good way to live" -- but it does not have the Truth of Christ. Truly following Christ is not only "a good way to live," it is also the Way to eternal life and Truth. There's something missing in Wicca -- it's Christ.
Jesus said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." (John 8:12)
This may surprise you, but if I didn't know the Truth of Christ, I'd probably be a Wiccan. It looks very attractive to me as well, but I know it's like the forbidden fruit -- it looks good and pleasing and desirable for gaining wisdom, but in reality it's a slow poison. I will not even dabble in Wicca, now that I know the Truth of Christ. Nothing else even looks sufficiently tempting to me anymore.
I
do pray that you find the Truth, and that you won't let yourself be led away by a thousand lies before you find it. I pray that you find the joy and the peace that may only be found in the true Source of Life. I pray that you give yourself fully to Christ, as He gave Himself for you. And I pray for your Wiccan friends, that they will come to know the Truth as well, and follow Him.

There's only really one rule for wicca and that is "Do what ye will, as long it harms none."
Anything that separates you from God or is against His will is harmful to at least one, yourself. It is therefore His will that we should seek first. To do otherwise denies God’s nature as a loving God. (1) If God really loves us, then He will want what is best for us. Consider your own nature? Is what you have wanted always been the best in the long run? Or others. If we are separated from God how can that be good for us? We can keep ourselves from knowing the God who sent His son to die for us, the God who loves us and wants what is good for us. We live in a corrupt world and have a sinful nature. (2) Sin brings death, at least spiritual death. God gives life. Sooner or later our nature is going to take us away from the life that God has for us. If we just do our will, it will eventually hurt others.
If we are really seeking God’s will, then out of the new nature that He gives us as His children will flow love. We love because He first loved us. Love is what really makes us care about not harming others. It then makes us care about the good of our fellow people. Without love like we learn from God, when pressed it is each man for himself. Sure someone like that may seem good and speak and act like they care, but it’s not that love. It’s just what makes them look good or feel good, and yes doing something good for someone else can make a person feel good, but it’s not the same selfless love. People waffle: God is faithful. (3) God is more faithful and selfless than any one else can be. His glory shines in His power and strength of love for us. I would rather follow that than my own foolish self. I by myself am a fool and if not for the love of God, I would not be who and where I am today.
Wiccans believe that there is a God and a Godess and both are worshipped.
Deuteronomy 5:7 You shall have no other gods before Me.
They do not believe in Satan as how can there be any absolute evil?
How can you not believe there is absolute evil? We have terrorism, poverty, literal enslavement even of children! There are places where women are kidnapped and put on window display in there underwear as sex slaves. People starve! There are genocides! Thousands and millions of people dying. There have people in the past who had child sacrifice. There’s mass oppression, people enslaved to sin like drugs and porn. Is that only half bad, half good? It’s a miracle when God changes any of the lives caught up in that. Absolute evil exists somehow and so does good. God is behind good. Can Satan not be behind evil?
We are spiritual as well as physical beings. Because of our physical nature, we don’t usually go around seeing with our eyes the things of spirits. Satan is a liar. (4) He tries to deceive us in as couple of ways. 1. Satan as the angel of light. He tries to get people to think that he is good, that is the way and the truth. This is not true. Satan wants to separate us from God because he is in a battle for us. Christ is the only way to life. If we are truly saved, then he loses out of us and he doesn’t want that. God creates, Satan destroys. God will work in us so that we are freed from the bondages of sin. Satan temps us away from God. 2. He tries to make people think that he and hell are not real. If he is not real, then there is only God and everything is good. It can be like it doesn’t matter what you do, there is no hell. You’ll go to heaven. But this isn’t true because heaven comes with salvation and what Jesus went through for us and what sin is loses its meaning. What could Christ have saved us from if there was no hell and nothing evil? Ourselves? 3. This world is all there is. The lie that this world that we see with our physical eyes is all there is. He likes people to stay blind to spiritual truths because then they won’t even think about seriously believing that Christ is the way and he is the enemy. 4. Scare us into thinking that only darkness is the spiritual reality or make us not believe God.
Wiccans believe that everything you do to others is brought back to you threefold so if you do something bad to someone you will be punished for it and if you do something good you will be blessed. Is that not a good way to live?
Many times it doesn’t work that way. In physical life here on earth, the greatest example of this is Christ. Though what He did was only what was good and loving, He suffered death for us on the cross. He went to hell and he did not sin. We sinners who deserve hell, who have grieved God, we are offered the chance to heaven. The message of salvation isn’t about rewards for good and punishments for wrongs, it’s about grace-what we don’t deserve. Every mean or immoral thought, every lie, every hurtful word, every other wrong thing that we have done-we can not make up for that. In the light of who God is, we all deserve death and hell, but by the simple act of faith to accept Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior, we can have eternal life in heaven. Not only that, before we leave this earth, we can have a relationship with a creator who loves us so much that He send His son to die for us. Now this is a way to live.
As Christians, the world will not always see the blessings that God gives us. Our treasure is not of the world. Around the world, there are Christians who are persecuted. Even kind non-Christians can suffer for doing good. The world does not love the things of God but loves the things of this world. There are places where evil is rewarded and good is punished. The reward or those who follow the Lord is His eternal care, the rewards He has for us in heaven and pleasure of a Heavenly Father who delights in His children. We live in view of eternity great reward is already gained in salvation. Christ gave us two commands to follow. "You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and "your neighbor as yourself." (5)

(1)John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
(1)Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
(1)1 John 4:18-20 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. 19We love Him because He first loved us. 20 If someone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?
(2)Romans 3:22-23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
(2)Isaiah 59
2But your iniquities have separated you from your God;
And your sins have hidden His face from you,
So that He will not hear.
(3)Psalm 89:8-9 O LORD God of hosts,
Who is mighty like You, O LORD?
Your faithfulness also surrounds You.
9You rule the raging of the sea;
When its waves rise, You still them.
(3)1 John 1:6-10 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. 8If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
(4)Revelation 12:9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
(4)2 Corinthians 11:14-15 And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. 15Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.
(5)Luke 10:26-28 He said to him, "What is written in the law? What is your reading of it?" 27So he answered and said, ""You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and "your neighbor as yourself."28And He said to him, "You have answered rightly; do this and you will live."
1 John 3:10-23 10 In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother. 11For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another, 12not as Cain who was of the wicked one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his works were evil and his brother's righteous.
13Do not marvel, my brethren, if the world hates you. 14We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother[3] abides in death. 15Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
16 By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 17But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? 18My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. 19And by this we know[4] that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him. 20For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. 21Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. 22And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. 23And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us[5] commandment.

The Bible says it right here, in plain sight, that ANY witchcraft, good intentions or not, is evil.
Deuteronomy 18
Detestable Practices
9 When you enter the land the LORD your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. 10 Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in [1] the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, 11 or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. 12 ANYONE who does these things is detestable to the LORD , and because of these detestable practices the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you. 13 You must be blameless before the LORD your God.
One must also remember that 90% of spiritists were not out to make people stumble, they were only using their witchcraft to benefit themselves and others. All witchcraft is evil...period.

I'll pray friend that you will find The Truth. I hope that you understand that Christian do not deny the existance on Magic. We know that there is certainly are sources of such power: Satan being a major one.
I don't want a "religion." I want a relationship, and Jesus has been the answer to that relationship issue. I have seen Jesus answer SUPREME prayer requests, and, therefore, I must say that I PRAY and CRY OUT that you will indeed find that sweet relationship as well.
And Kura, friend, remember that "Those who Seek God find him."

I'll try to keep my response short, and I may repeat things that others have said.
First, the Bible does not deny that magic exists. King Saul consulted a witch, but it was a sin and negative consequences followed.
Second, I promise you that if you're searching for the Truth by walking away from Christianity, you will not find Truth. Truth is Christianity, and nothing can change that.
I'll pray for you and that you realize that Truth has been in the same place you say that you keep coming back to: the Christian faith.
"The truth will set you free..." That's a verse in the Bible (I believe in one of Paul's letters); in other words, once you realize that Christianity is the Truth you keep searching for, you will feel a huge burden leave you, setting you free from these worries you're facing.
I will pray for you.

Yeah. However with magic and sorcery Satan is the ONLY one...it's very sad, so many people are misled. Satan is the one source of sorcery. No, I'm not saying that people who do witchcraft are worshipping the devil, but they are participating in an abomination to God.

I can't sleep right now for some reason and my thoughts keep returning to this issue. I need to sort this out right now. I am a fool for falling into yet another of Satans well designed traps. I underestimated him and that was my folly. I'm constatly amazed at just how cunning Satan can be and how much we all need to be on guard so we do not fall.
Wicca is the modern day forbidden fruit.
Great analogy eirewolf and i think it was what you said that i kept coming back to as well as my question about life and a pact with satan or death. That has also been on my mind once again. I am a fool. When will i realise that Satan wants only to harm us and that he is a cunning and powerful adversary? I can tell everyone here, never ever underestimate Satans power for he is truly powerful. Id you let your huard down even for a moment he'll ensnare you.
Thankyou all for your prayers. I feel so foolish and ask myself again and again how many times will Satan ensnare me like this? I feel like im roo weak to face the awesome power of Satan. I've never faced such a powerful adversary before and this battle really does seem impossible. How can you defeat a being that is hundreds of times more powerful than you will ever be?
Satan really has done so much to me to harm me and ive hurt my brothers and sisters in Christ by falling so far and that hurts as well. What more can i say than im sorry. Sorry for hurting you all and sorry for hurting God. I wish i could turn back the clock and have been stronger than i was. I feel like a failure. I've failed myself and I've failed God

Yes i want to have a relationship with a being that truly loves me, but i feel unworthy of His love. I am far from perfect and i gavce turned away from and forgotten about God so many times. I only deserve God to do the same to me. To forsake me as i have forsaken Him.
Father, i pray that you will take me, your unworthy follower, back into your arms and forgive my sins against you. I am truly sorry for what i have done to you and to my family the fellow followers of your will. I have turned away from you several times, but you have never turned your back on me and for that i truly thank you. Take me and through me do your will so that i may be a light to those who need your guidance. Amen.
I hope i can find the strength to help my wiccan friends but i feel like i need to enarmour myself more with the word of God before i make any such attempt. I hope i can find the stregth to do God's will and that He will forgive me for turning away from Him as i have done so many times before. I have a long way to go before i can be used for Gods will and i just want to be part of a loving relationship between me and the one true God. Why am i such a fool?

1 John 4:4
You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
1 Corinthians 1:25
For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength.
Philippians 4:13
I can do everything through him who gives me strength.
James 4
7Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.
Go to GOd He is aour strenght our wisdom and our power. He is oue live our joy our love. HE will never leave us nor forsakes us. Have faith i will be praying for you. and remeber james 4:7

Kura, don't dwell on it. Learn from the experience and move on. Sitting around dwelling on the mistake is only falling into another of Satan's cunning traps. You recognised your mistake, you came to fix it. Event finished.
Some things I must point out though:
1. You are not a failure. You realised your error and came back to try and fix it, failure's don't do that. You returned to God and confessed your mistake, right now in God's eyes you're forgiven.
2. You are not weak, God provides everything needed for this war. All the armour, all the tools, all the weapons. Try and memorize some scripture relating to the things you get tempted on most, then when you do feel tempted, quote them aloud. It's what Jesus did when Satan tempted Him and it's a very effective weapon.
3. You ARE unworthy of God, but then again.... so are the rest of us. What makes your little mess up worse than all of ours? Nothing, we're on the same level. None of us deserve God's grace, None of us are righteous, we do all deserve to be forsaken. But God is ever merciful toward us, always being patient in that he doesn't want any of us to perish.
4. Why are you downcast oh my soul, for I will yet HOPE IN GOD. Those 3 words contain mighty power, Hope In God. Just something for you to think about.

Kura Ookami, we have all failed God. None of us are perfect, and we have all forsaken Him who loves us. You are not a failure. Humanity is. I am overjoyed that you have realized that Wicca is one of Satan's traps and that you have recommited your life to Jesus.
I will continue to pray for you as well as your friends.
God bless!

wow, praise God!! You have been led back to the Truth! *dances with Kura*
Now now, don't beat yourself up. God forgives you and the moment you decided to return to Him, the whole heavens were and are still celebrating, angels and all. XD XD God opens His arms to you and welcomes you. And we do too.
Do you know that you can have a significant impact on your Wiccan friends? Man, I can see God using you to bring them to the Truth as well! Let's pray for the strengthening of your faith and for the salvation of your friends. ^_^

Thankyou ALL for your support and prayers. It's defibately had an effect on me and maybe i can help my Wiccan friends find the truth as well. I'll be praying for them and i hope you will join me in my prayers. Pray for them so that they too can be led to Christ and that my own faith can be strengthend. I just hope that God can use me to bring my friends from Satans influence so that they too can be saved.
Praise the lord for what He has done!

I've failed myself and I've failed God.
Hey, Kura, you haven't hurt me! (just incase you think you have) Everyone makes mistakes. A righteous man falls down 7 times, but gets back up again!
^_^ God loves you so much that He makes sure you don't stay down!!
As my pastor says, "If you don't feel like you are qualified to be a Christian, just work on being qualified!"
God loves ya'!

Kura!
I'm very glad you've come back to God. Now, there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. God does not condemn you, so please don't condemn yourself. We all do foolish things; it's kinda' part of being human, but when we return to God, He forgives us freely! None of us deserves God's grace -- that's why He gives it to us. (If we didn't need it, there'd be no reason for it.)
I feel like im too weak to face the awesome power of Satan. I've never faced such a powerful adversary before and this battle really does seem impossible. How can you defeat a being that is hundreds of times more powerful than you will ever be?
There's only one way -- you abide in Christ. Jesus said, "Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." (John 15:4-5) If you are not in Christ, you have no defenses against the enemy. When you feel Satan tempting and confusing you, pray, then and there. Christ is in you, if you are in Him. And Satan has no defenses against Christ. "The one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world." (1 John 4:4)
You need not apologize to us; we are here to support and encourage each other! It's part of what the body of Christ is for.
Yes i want to have a relationship with a being that truly loves me, but i feel unworthy of His love. I am far from perfect and i gavce turned away from and forgotten about God so many times. I only deserve God to do the same to me. To forsake me as i have forsaken Him.
This instantly brought to mind a scripture we read today in Sunday School:
"if we are faithless,
he will remain faithful,
for he cannot disown himself." (2 Timothy 2:13)
None of us are "worthy" of God's love... No one is righteous apart from God. But He loves us anyway! He created us to love and be loved. Accept His grace for what it is, and don't feel like you should have done something to earn it. Grace is never earned.
I hope i can find the strength to help my wiccan friends but i feel like i need to enarmour myself more with the word of God before i make any such attempt.
That might be a good idea. Satan isn't a complete idiot; he's going to give your friends lots of questions to try and confuse you (as I see is happening, from your other thread, which I will try to answer via PM). You need to be firmly rooted in the Word before you try answering their arguments.
There is nothing wrong with asking questions. But we need to stay rooted in Christ if we are to find the True answers. God can handle any question you throw at Him... but you need to make sure you're truly listening to His answers. Sometimes God doesn't immediately answer every question we ask Him... but He wants to know that you will be faithful anyway.
I have a long way to go before i can be used for Gods will and i just want to be part of a loving relationship between me and the one true God.
That is a truly good desire. God will honor that. And He can use you right now, as you are. If you think God can't use you, read this: "But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong." (1 Corinthians 1:27) He can use you, if you are willing to be used by Him.
He loves you so much, no matter what you've done; never let the enemy tell you otherwise.

The Bible says that there is more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over 99 righteous people who do not need to repent. God and all his angels are rejoicing over your return in a heavenly celebration! God will always love you with an unconditional love.
God bless.

Kura, I've just run across your post here and am most glad to see your progress and return. I will indeed keep you and your friends in my prayers.
Just a few comments, though this may have been said before. Never think that we are supposed to defeat Satan, God never asks us to do that. We are to resist him, turn away from him, ect. and all this by Christ's power in us. In all reality, Satan is already a defeated foe since Calvary, living on borrowed time til he's cast into the lake of fire. You are indeed correct that we should not underestimate the enemy, or so invite disaster upon ourselves, and yes, while in our human sense, Satan's power may seem awesome, but just think about how much MORE awesome is the power of our loving, forgiving God, the one who empowers us against and has already defeated that old serpent.
I pray for your growth and for your encouragement. Do not down yourself for wandering and doubt, you are merely suffering what is common to all men. This is not to downplay the seriousness of sin, mind you, but I will say likewise be thankful for those times of wandering, not because of having wandered but because of what you have been taught THROUGH your wandering. It is through the trials of life that God really shapes us and molds us into the people he would have us to be, as it has been with you.
Never forget that God knew you would do this before your Grandparent's Grandparent's Grandparents were born, and He knows even the sin still to come, and despite all this He still loves you and has chosen you to be a child of God. Be encouraged by that and move on! _^_^ The past is now and your bright future is yet to come.
The blessings of our Lord and Father be with you on the narrow, winding path you, and we all, walk. May you grow and go in God, my friend.
