Definately. I know the feeling. High school's a blast, though. You'll love it. Good luck!

Oh man, I'll definitely pray.

From my own experience I'll offer you a bit of advice: Be your own person and do your own thing. Don't let Johnny talk you into doing drugs or Sammy talk you into skipping class so you can "fit in." Don't go broke trying to buy the latest shoes Nike has out just so you can impress Sally or so you can "look cool" and be "accepted" in Travis' clique.

And no matter how much the kids tease you or call you a nerd you get your lesson and you get as much of it as you can. I've had kids pick at me because I was doing the right thing: getting my education (and behaving in class). But when I look back it was all worth the trouble.

Guess what? If those people wanted to see me on their level anytime soon they had to work their way up. There are some people that try to pull you down because they're jealous and they can't stand to see you excel. "Miserable loves company."

But most importantly, keep your hand in God's hand. Pray to Him everyday to help you in school. If you're worried about a test, before that pencil even touch that paper don't be afraid to sit right there in your chair and pray to God for help.

God helped me in situations where I thought I had no hope. I can't imagine where I'd be if I didn't rely on God.

I'm sorry, I don't mean to sound like your mother or some kind of afterschool special. And you probably know what you need to do already. But I felt like sharing that with you. Anyway, I wish you a good school year.

Hey Kenzo it really depends where at in America you live some people go back late july others will go back early september i went to an all year round school once before but we got a lot of long breaks and every other friday was a half day.. anyways have fun with high school destroyer and follow golden griffs advice very closely but one more thing enjoy it while you can it will seem slow but by the time you graduate it leaves you wondering how did that happen so fast

High school does pass fast though, but it's different. If you don't have at least one friend who actually cares about your well-being, then you've got it tough. Make friends that stick, and you'll do well. Sorry if my advice is kinda lame.

The first I went to high school, I had no idea where to go, what to do, and where my classes are, but a couple days later, I knew where everything was. There were lots of people I did not know there and I felt very uncomfortable. There were some people that I knew...about 4 or 5...but that did not really help...o_o...anyways...I got used to everything, went through my first year, grade 10, second year, grade 11, and third year, grade 12 and now I am a graduate.

I will pray for you Destroyer and you take care of yourself.

University starts on September 8th for me.

I'll pray for fellow freshmen who've posted here and I'd also like you guys to pray for me!

I've been homeschooled most of my life and in a couple of weeks I think I'll be starting 9th grade as my first time in a traditional public school environment. I was going to be homeschooled again this year but my only homeschooling friend is going to highschool this year and I'd like to see what its like, make some friends, etc. so I think thats where I'll be.

I'm quite nervous about it actually since I only know about about 5 freshmen there and only 2 are good friends.

Late, I know, but I'll pray. ^_^ My school actually moves you into "high school" in 7th grade. (You're in the same building as the high schoolers.) I remember seeing all these hugemonstrous people, me being the short little seventh grader that I was. You'll get used to high school fast. Now I'm a senior and I see all these little seventh graders running around all like "I'm gonna be late! I'm gonna be late!" and I'm thinkin "All right! Two minutes left! Let's see who I can talk to before I have to go in. "

Thanks. As for the advice, no one has to tell me that. I can't stand the 'preps' as others call them, in my school. The last thing I want to be is accepted by any of the people there, or to impress any of the girls. Relationships at 14 (almost 15) are meaningless. Most kids don't really understand the concept of love, and alot of adults don't, either. Love is a concept that can't really be understood by human minds...even though many people think they do. Nothing really disgusts me more than seeing these teenagers running around saying, "I love so-and-so." or something to that effect, it's just infatuation, it will go away! People like that are ignorant...they won't accept anything from other cultures and give it a chance. Thanks, though. I'm glad that there are some people that care about others.

PS: It's a coincidence, but in my Elective class there is a boy named Travis...oh, I would like to knock him out so badly...meh.
