Prayer for God's calling

Postby holysoldier5000 » Thu Apr 27, 2006 9:09 pm

Hey everyone,
I have felt for sometime God pulling on my heartstring to be an evangelist/missionary. Only thing is God isn't calling me to be a missionary in some foreign country but to be a bringer of the good news to people here, in America. As I look around the current society of the US I see young people everywhere searching for purpose, for peace, for meaning. Depression has become ramped in our society among young people and I long so much to share with them the cure... Jesus. The fields are ripe for the harvest and God is calling me to go and help those in need. Will you please pray for me. As I began my ministry to teenagers both with my writing, my Internet ministry, here on the CAA, and in my home bible club, please pray that God will be able to use me, such a weak tool in and of myself, for powerful things. So that I may be clay in the potters hands to be used for his purpose, not mine, but His.

Thanks in advance! ^_^

God Bless you all

I'll keep you in prayer as you are making these decisions.
Never doubt, just lie in His ever caring, ever knowing, ever reliable embrace.

I have been praying for you, and I will continue praying. It's obvious that you just want to do what God has planned for you, and I know He will honor that. We have just been talking at my youth group about how Paul considered his home his most important mission field. A lot of people who want to be missionaries overlook the needy people right in front of them, and I know God is pleased with your passion for the people around you. I have learned that God does not give you a passion if He doesn't plan to use it to do great things.

Will do. :thumb: Don't tackle too much, though, but do whatever God leads you to do. Remember, just one very effective ministry can make a bigger impact than several ministries that you can only devote so much time to. We can't serve the Lord too much, but we can sometimes work so hard that we're focusing more on service than on the Lord Himself.

Just a word of cautionary advice from a fellow servant. :thumb:
