Serious problem...
Huff... i have this problem... and its kinda weird, and i dont know what to do... Its about my dad... he has this thing with porn... i keep finding it in his van(he has a mobile office because he works for state farm insurance). and i think hes "messing around" behind my moms back. i really dont know what to do or even if i shoud post this... mods, if you deem this unacceptable i apolagize and will hold no grudge if you take it down. i just want to know what i should do..

:/ sorry you're having to deal with this.
My personal opinion on this situation is first...pray about it. 'Cause in the end you wont be able to change your dad, only God can.
Secondly, I recommend confronting him about it if he doesn't already realize you know. or even if he does realize actually. We're called to confront people with their sin. One on one or with someone if necessary. Obviously there's a right and a wrong way to do that.....the right way needing much prayer and love and God's guidance for the right words. but yea.it's very important.
i dunno as my comments are worth much.b ut maybe somebody can take what I said and add to it with the Bible and such. i'm so worn out I can't. but yea....good luck with this!

Don't worry, carneman, there isn't a problem with bringing up this issue for prayer and advice. But, I do think that you will get better advice and responses about this in the prayer forum, not to mention it will fit in better there. So, I'm going to go ahead and move it. Hope you get some good answers, and I'll pray for you!

This is not good. I would be so disturbed if it turned out that my father would be doing that. Ouch. I probably would sit in a corner or so to try and deal with it.

This could be the passage that FadedOne was referring to. However, I'm pretty sure there are a few other that address confronting others about their sin that are more appropriate to the situation, I just can't think of them right now. . . If I come up with them, I'll let you all know.

For one, Prometheus, there was no need to gravedig this thread. Second, we here at CAA do not require our members to be Christians, but we do require that you respect our beliefs without being antagonistic toward us and our beliefs.
Yes, it is his choice, and yes he has sinned if he is viewing pornography, and yes he will have to face God if he never repents. That is the purpose of this thread: to request prayer for his father, that he may understand that what he does is a sin and that he needs to repent.
Finally, Prometheus, your "libertarian" stance implies a political viewpoint. Here at CAA, we ask that you leave politics at the door.
Now, returning to the topic, I am, as others are, praying for your father, Carneman.
