after mission trip....

Postby oro! » Sun Oct 09, 2005 1:34 pm

My church went on a fun mission trip to Mexico last week. It was uplifting and great until the part where a lot of us on Friday got sick with vomiting, scratchy throat, etc. I am recovering from that right now, and luckily can eat some, but others in the group are feeling a lot worse. This is spiritual warfare, I believe. Satan does not want us to have a high on Jesus, and to divert the attention from those who are lost to those who are sick.
Will you pray for us? It would be greatly appreciated! :thumb:

I was feeling better yesterday, but the sickness seems to have come back, luckily not in full force. I wonder if it is a virus, or what. I did plan ot go to school today, but didn't. I hope that the other kids could go back. They seemed pretty miserable when last I heard.

the missions trip my youth group went to 2 years ago (I didn't go) all got sick, from contaminated food or a bacteria infection. XD They all were in the hospital! My friend's sister even almost died (Praise Jesus she lived! and is still living)

I went to Poland last summer... soooo awesome!

I was on the missions trip MSP talked about. We actually ended up witnessing to one of the doctors there. The temptation is to focus on the sickness, but you obviously know that you should focus on the great things God did through you on the trip. I will pray that you get better and that this attack stops.

I'll pray for your group. I know how miserable that is. I'll especially pray that God will show then how He wants them to use this to witness to people. ;)
Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.

Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word;
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;
Thou my great Father, I Thy true son;
Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.

Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight;
Be Thou my Dignity, Thou my Delight;
Thou my soul’s Shelter, Thou my high Tower:
Raise Thou me heavenward, O Power of my power.

Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise,
Thou mine Inheritance, now and always:
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,
High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art.

High King of Heaven, my victory won,
May I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heaven’s Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.
