Prayer request for a good friend

Postby Nate » Mon Sep 12, 2005 10:57 pm

I can't give a name or even details (not unless they deem it necessary), so I will keep this short and very brief.

Tonight, a friend of mine...well, something happened with their family, and they need prayer, as well as their mom and aunt.

If you read this, I urge you to please pray for them. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

I hope everything works out for your friend. I don't know what the situation is, but I do know that God can work through any situation, no matter how deep or how far it spreads. I'll pray.

This thread applies to me. Thank you, Nate. I sincerely appreciate the thought put into this and the fact that you did it ^^;;

Please allow me to clarify:

My uncle is dying. He's been slowly dying for about 6 months now. The past 23 years of his life has been spent in and out of hospitals, due to Chrone's disease and heart problems. About 10 months ago, a medicine that one of the doctors prescribed had a violent reaction and it sent him into kidney failure. He's been doing dialysis for about 9 months or so and slowly getting weaker. About a month and a half ago, the doctors discovered that his liver was starting to not work. He's almost constantly been in the hospital for about six months.

He has been in the kidney AND liver failure stage for about 2 months or so now. To make a long story short, last night the family was called in because they couldn't stop the bleeding in the liver. This has been about the 9th "last chance to say goodbye" call we've had so far this year. God has extended his life past the doctor's expectations nine times. He wasn't supposed to make it through the night last night, but he's out of shock now and the bleeding has subsided.

It's wonderful that God keeps pulling him through, but he is doing some MAJOR suffering. He is in pain and his mind is going on him. My aunt is about to have a nervous breakdown....I mean, can you blame her? This is going to be hard on her....he's been ill for 23 years and she's always stuck by his side, because she loves him more than anything on this earth.

My mother also needs prayer because this is the last living member of her immediate family, aside from her children. All of her aunts, uncles, grandparents, mother, father, everything...they're gone. Her brother was all that she had left, and she's really struggling with this and the suffering he's doing.

My uncle is a man of God and I know that God has been extending his life for a reason, but this is VERY hard on his wife and child and my mother and obviously, incredibly hard on him. If you could, please remember them in your prayers, I know they would very much appreciate it.

God bless you all.

I sorry to hear about that. I'll continue to pray that God will be able to comfort everyone who may be involved.

Resurrecting this thread for a reason. I'm sure she won't mind.

Dragonshimmer's uncle did indeed recently pass away. Please pray for her and her mother, that they will be comforted.
