Have you told your parents? They might be able to help you or find someone who could help you. Either way, I'm sure they'd want to know. I'll be praying for you.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

hmm..I know the feeling. Though usually there's a specific reason or thought on my mind causing the fear...even if I have to think awhile to figure it out.

Definitely pray, listen to some relaxing music, etc. Asking others to pray usually works too. satan loves to bind us in fear(shin no ippo? yeaah..too much kenshin today) so that we can't see light or God's love or any kind of peace. Definitely get yourself people to pray for you (i will right now) and you'll see a difference, i'm certain. Also never hurts to try to figure out what's causing the fear. Sometimes there's no cause, but usually it's something underlying. don't let it get away unresolved. *hugs* sleep well! shall pray now

I will certainly pray for you. I'm sure God will hear our prayers and bring you help somehow, so rest easy in that. He sees you and knows what's going on.

Is there a particular thought that is keeping you up? If it is something in your mind that is bothering you, talk to your parents. If it a spiritual thing, talk to your parents first but you can also talk to your priest or pastor (depending on your denomination).

If your problem becomes severe and you cannot pinpoint a set of thoughts behind it, I would say to go see a doctor. God puts them here to help us, after all.

In the meantime, try reading. Read something soothing. The Bible is excellent. Or maybe a theological book. Possibly enjoyable poetry might be another option.

I'll pray that God'll give you the peace you need to sleep.

thak you guys soooo much. i honestly really appreciate it. las tnight i got the best sleep of my life. i was so at-peace. at first i was really uncomfortable but then i was so exhausted that i just closed my eyes and instantly i felt at peace. thank you for your prayers. i think the reason why is because my thoughts are so intense when im trying to sleep. a couple of days ago it was so bad that i had to leave my room and i tried to sleep on the couch. my mind keeps racing over stuff, inparticular some horrible things that happened when i was little (not going to go into details) and my thoughts are basically almost so loud that i cant get to sleep. i guess maybe it wasnt that i was afraid of sleeping but afraid of what i was thinking before i fell asleep or something. anyways, once again thank you for your prayers, i really appreciate them.

ah yeah..you're not alone. This happens to me, especially if I have too much on my mind. It's SO hard to fall asleep when there's something disturbingly lying in your conscious or sub-conscious thought. That was actually a big/stressful problem for me in the past. You have my sympathy/prayers.

Anyway, glad you got some peaceful sleep! Hope it continues. And I know you mentioned thoughts weighing on your mind. Don't be afraid to face those and give them to God or talk to a much-trusted friend. Don't let satan keep you in fear/worry over the past.

take care :)

Wonderful! I'm glad things worked out well for you. May they continue to do so. I shall remember you in my prayers to that purpose.
